Really stood out to me how LAFplastiC had celebrities for their game but we had Cobi, Cien, Keane, and LD there for our cup final. It’s a shift in culture and mentally for sure and one that I greatly appreciated.

Not sure what happened between LD and the Galaxy FO that caused a rift between them, but it’s unacceptable for LD to feel unwanted here. Those Klein years, man… I have the feeling we only know a fraction of the incompetence.

One of the many (like seriously many) articles mentioned how under Arena you had multiple goal-scoring threats. If you tried to mark out Landon, you left space for Kane, and if you tried to mark out both Magee or Zardes, they were wide open.

 

That is why at the beginning of 2023 I was arguing we missed the boat by not picking up another goal scorer in the off-season. I anticipated injuries to Chich (as did most of us) and I knew leaving Dejan as our sole goal dangerous player was a sure recipe for disaster. And unfortunately it turned out to be one.
