Beat me to it. Man the dramatic music was epic. The fact that they included part of his halftime speech. I liked the part where he mentioned "we can discuss the first 20 minutes later, let's focus on what we can do to finish out the game"
on this note, it might be me but I think its getting worse with the corporate seats, during a couple of Kings games last season, the whole lower bowl was empty and the conversation during the broadcasts was that it was all bought out by corporations and they had the option of sitting in the lower bowl or in the suites and most chose the suites and a lot of times the tickets go unused which is a waste in itself. I guess I'm just hoping that this doesn't permeate into the Galaxy game experience, as it has affected the Kings game experience.
Haven't been to a game in ages, but seeing that empty section on the broadcast was weird and offputting. But I'm also a plebe
I can't disagree with your observations as I haven't been to a King game in a close to a decade. But when I was attending games, the lower bowls were a separate ticket from the suites as the suites have both inside and front of the suite seating. I can't imagine somebody buying both. I do know that sometime premium seats are/were sold on an all event basis (e.g. Lakers, Kings and Clippers) so sometimes in the Donald Sterling era, Clipper's tickets went unused. IMO, based upon the relatively few times I sat in suites (at what is now Crypto, Dignity and the Rose Bowl), the suites are/were more for people like my wife who wants to party and don't really care about the game while the lower bowl seats are more for the person who wants to watch the game. I definitely prefer the lower bowl for watching a game as long as I don't have to sit/stand in a supporter's section.
