I'm sorta confused by that sequence -- if any non-goalkeeper player handles the ball there inadvertently, I'd be surprised to see it given a red card. What gives?
Last man makes it red for Tim. Laws have been amended a bit regarding DOGSO (deliberate obstruction of a goal scoring oppty) where you can see a yellow instead of red when it's in the box. In this case, since it's outside the box and Tim was last man, red was the appropriate.
Everybody in the leage is either wearing white or charcoal this weekend. See the beginning of this thread. Something to do with Oceans and earth day. I love the oceans and like earth day, but I don't get it..
Hey, look on the bright side. At least Howard’s red card forced Hudson to jettison McBean. Up to that point, McBean only had two flubbed open-look headers in front of goal and one great block of a rocket shot on goal... which unfortunately happened to be his teammate’s (Blomberg).
The red was a bit harsh but no way Howard should come out for that ball. He’s made crucial mistakes in every game. SMH.
I think that is my conclusion. The keeper takes a risk by coming out; unless he is going to get the ball first.
Agreed, this was Howard's fault, but I don't think the red was harsh. The red was exactly the right call based on the play. This was a big call for this young ref - he talked with his A/R and got it right.
Good moment for them, set up a good volley for Plata but it was wide. I wonder what minute it is? I feel like I'm at a kids game. I wish I had set my phone timer at the beginning of the half.
Dunno - RSL's not showing me much with a man advantage for this long. Of course, as I type this, they force a decent save from Zak
Barring Badji or somebody scoring a goal out of nowhere to win the game MacMath has already got MOTM wrapped up.
