To quote the Cranberries, "does anyone care?" The Rapids are at Houston playing the Dynamo in the Compass stadium Saturday at 7PM Will we win? Will we ever win again? Thoughts, questions, answers, predictions, post here.
The 2018 Rapids winning a road match? Not likely. Houston is going to put on a show for the fans. Toying with the sub-USL Rapidos by a margin of 4-1.
Another head hangs lowlyPoints are slowly taken And if guidance causes the silence Who are we mistaking But you see it's not me It's not my favorite team In their head in their head They are fighting Zombie zombie zombie ei ei
There's always a weird road game where the Rapids inexplicably defeat a better team, especially considering it's a road game. Is this the one? I am expecting instead an 8th straight MLS loss and 2nd straight to a former Rapids coach.
We are on a current streak at BBVA, but the disaster about to visit Houston this time around is man-made and very, very weak. With no historic hurricane to soften up the Dynamo, Elis and Quioto run rampant on our back three, 3-0 for the orange.
I don't see it happening again, either, but that was kind of the point. We didn't see it happening in the past, either. Sometimes MLS is whacky. That's about what these Rapids have going for them, waiting for some wildly unprobable event.
Rapids 1-0; goal by Aigner in extra time. Oops... Seriously, it’s hard to predict anything but a joke score. Does it really matter whether they get beat by 2, 3, or 4 goals? My heart won’t let me type 5.
@AlbertCamus You didn't include an "opener" in the thread title, so if the Rapids win you're on the hook buddy!
I LOVE the Cranberries. I listened to Dolores O'Riordan's first solo album twice through in the car today. Her voice makes me weep. Back to the game thread, sorry folks.
2-0 loss. Houston has one of the best offenses in the league and I don't see our broken defense stopping them. Our best attacker is suspended so I can't see us scoring either.
It's definitely early, but the Kroenke Line (PPG to win the Wooden Spoon based on an average of 26.85 points by the Wooden Spoon winner in the 34-game season era) currently sits at 0.86 PPG. The Rapids currently are at 0.67 PPG. A loss in Houston would drop the Rapids to 0.62 PPG.
Crap, I forgot about Badji's suspension. The lack of a longball threat makes it even less likely an improbable game is going to happen. Now we'll need something like most the Dynamo roster getting ill after the squad has been announced such that they have to play with 8 players or something.
Let's start the weekend off with a good result.⚽️ #HOUvCOL⏰ 7:00 PM🏟️ BBVA Compass Stadium📺 @AltitudeTV 📻 @Altitude950 📝 https://t.co/rE8BW4Veej pic.twitter.com/13kDS8YKt1— Colorado Rapids (@ColoradoRapids) June 9, 2018
