Great season. Congrats RSL. Hard fought match played in good spirits. Landon, the hardest critic of Landon is going to be himself. It's going to take him a long time to get over this one.

 

Really, absolutely gutted. Worst way to lose. Absolutely the worst way to lose a game. Well done to RSL, they deserved to win the game, they were better and worked harder. Miserable now. Yes it was amazing for us to get here, yes we were never expected to get here, but ******** me it hurts to get beaten on penalties.

 

And the streak of teams I root for NEVER emerging victorious from penalties continues.

Great job RSL... you guys deserve it. I am totally worn out watching Whew. We will look to catch you next season. We still havent beat RSL for 2+ years now. Yikes!

A great season for our guys.... they went from worst to first... we werent even supposed to be in the cup so I cant say I'm disappointed. I hope this is the start of a new LAG dynasty team for a number of years to come!

RSL deserved it over the course of things, they dominated us. Penalties are a lottery, Buddle looked like he knew he would miss when he was alking up, seems like Rimando had won the mental battle without having to do a thing. Donovan should have taken the first PK, I think he would've scored had he hit in an earlier spot. But shit, so much I could write here that I don't think I will, I'll leave the blame game to tomorrow.

Great game, im gutted but to blame Edson is unfair but it sucks....

I thought Edson had a great game up to the penalty

I also feel that we showed a lot of class, the game was clean

yup, when it was clear that Landon wasn't going to go 1st or 2nd or evn 3rd, i had a feeling he was going to miss.

 

It has to be said that Josh was amazing.

I think there will be a complete turnover, not because we lost, had we won I think there would be one anyway, too many old guys who have very little left and command too much money. They were great this season but I wouldn't count on them for next year.

 

Gutted for the players. How often do teams go from bottom to the top of any league in any sport? Absolutely brilliant this season, they deserved better than they got tonight. Poor Saunders, not many keepers make more than one save and lose a shootout. Can't think what else to say, whether to be happy for the rebound from being the worst team in the league or that we fell at the final hurdle.

 

I put the loss of this one SQUARELY on Landon Donovan's shoulders. When it came time to it, he missed his penalty kick HORRIBLY. Buddle gets runner up; how many times must one tell idiots to go to the extremes of the goal. Either high up or low down on the corners. Beckham gave his all kudos to him. No hard feelings. Saunders don't feel bad about this one, you stopped TWO. Your team, especially it's captain couldn't come through. At least Buddle missed but it was in the direction of the goal.

Great season to RSL. Congrats. But a horrible way to lose. Landon... sleep on it... for the ENTIRE year.
