A few times over the last few seasons I’ve been critical of some of his commentary, but I can see how his playing days—especially being a pupil of Sigi and Arena has informed a lot of the way he sees the game. 86th min in between two defenders, what does he do? He doesn’t take them on. Passes to the open man to keep the play alive. He made sure we didn’t concede possession.
NE looks beaten.. Ruiz has looked like the Ruiz of the regular season. A lot more lively just no chances.
😱🚲 The @FishCr20 bike!...saved by the 'keeper's face 😂 pic.twitter.com/tbTOHnAFhs— LA Galaxy (@LAGalaxy) March 30, 2020 el pescadito bike would have been a nice way to end it
Thank you, Dr. Phil for the play-by-play. I missed the stream but reading this made me feel like I was there. I'm really glad we won. Back in '02 I jumped up and down like someone on 18-year younger knees could do back then....
It's kind of crazy to think that the Galaxy has only beaten two teams for their 5 Cups...lol Also 2002, who would have thought that Brady would turn out to be the GOAT...
Watching El Pescadito's winning goal, and the sheer excitement it brought, a part of me kind of wishes the golden goal came back. Though I'm sure if the goal happened today, somehow some way, VAR would have disallowed it.
Found the original gameday thread! https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/r-live-cup-discussion.20086/ And yes, I liked a couple of 18 year old posts...ha
I thought Ezra played a great game. I'd certainly take him at right back over anyone on the 2020 team. Outside of Jona and Pavon, the 02 team seems pretty superior across the board.
I like the golden goal as long as my team wins. No way about that being disallowed, it was perfect (in a Last Samurai sense).
