Great ball over the top and Buksa makes a poor choice

Looked like a penalty to me on Buchanan. It would have been a weak one but it still looked like a penalty.

Yeah the heart of the defense has been bad... Columbus will score if they keep letting them go up the middle.

Well that is disappointing end but I am proud of our boys. They played hard in a tough season with the pandemic. They have some great players and I dont think they need to change much except in the DM and CB positions.

I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting a win, but I was expecting us to connect a pass now and then.

This was the first game in the playoffs we really looked like an 8th seed team. Disappointed.

    Bruce's subs were... interesting??

Assuming Arena continues, the need to develop off-season clearly rests on improving attacking talent, coherence and flow of play through midfield. Revs do have talent, did well to get to conference final ~ now with certain position/player upgrades they should do well next season if they can get their coordinated play together! Thanks Revs/Arena/Krafts for an unexpectedly exciting 2020 ... now it’s on to build to 2021!

It was fun while it lasted. Eastern Conference Championship final, who'd a thunk back in the fall. Columbus' spacing was way better than ours. How many passes went to a black shirt. A few times I said nice try, but most of the game it was, we're the ones with the white shirts!
I agree with Doublecard, BA's subs were "interesting". You take out Teal to move Buchanan up the field, then 10 minutes later you remove him??? Oh well, on to 2021. We have a good nucleus, we just need to strengthen our DM position. Let's hope we keep Gil.

A disappointing end, but Columbus was clearly better on the day. I agree that the substitutions in this game was not great. I would have preferred Nguyen over Rowe. Revs passing seemed to be very bad in this game, though I have not seen the stats.

I don't know the name of this ref, but I am disappointed that he got a conference semi-final. He let way too much go both ways.

Final gripe. There seems to be a trend in t.v. coverage where they linger far too long on a sideline shot or a coach closeup at the expense of the game being played. A particularly egregious example in this game was looking at the back of the Crew owner for 30 or 40 seconds while the game had resumed. It is disorienting to then suddenly cut back to the game in play. I noticed this not only today but in a lot of games this year.

We are here to watch the game, not the coaches or the owner's box.

    Here's to a better 2021!
I hope Luis Caicedo comes back healthy and fit. I hope Bruce Arena adds some more firepower. It feels like this team could be a strong contender next year with some good personnel management.

Good game. I thought you guys were going to get one at the end. As long as you have Gil & Turner, you'll have a chance. Buska & Bou are both good as well. Upgrade CM/DM and you will be fearsome.

Was nice to see two MLS 1.0 teams in the ECF.

I'm pretty happy with the season. Semifinals. But the limitations were evident today. Rowe, Mac and Bye were the subs when you need a goal?

I also did not understand that when down a goal, with nothing to lose, Arena goes to Rowe and Rennicks over Lee and Diego. I do like Rennicks but not in this game. Rowe is a good guy but I think he's mostly done now. Mac for Cadwell was OK, I think Caldwell was gassed. I do think we need some more, better players. Players I would like to see us look for better options for are:
Buksa - we need another option up there. Someone with skills and wheels
Teal - works hard but its time
Bou - I know he scores now and then but I dont like him in the middle and he cant really go 90

We are also carrying too much dead wood. It will be interesting to see what Arena does. He's close, and with a few more options, maybe we can go one more step? Im hoping he does something and not just sit on what he has

No way Arena sits on what he has. There's a lot of dead wood on this roster.
