I feel like I continue to watch a team that is scared to play the game by continually refusing to fight for the ball or maintain possession when they do get it. I understand playing a counterattacking style or even parking the bus against a strong opponent, but when playing the bottom teams in the league at home, I draw the line.
Agreed. That strategy is not working against a better team and you're right, when they play away the scaredness compounds itself. At least this was one of the only times I saw that parking the bus was effective, but that's because The Clubbed Foot de Montreal missed their shots. They had quite a few shots that could've gone in. A team like LAFC doesn't miss those. We need to be better in the midfield to both stem attacks and also ratchet up our own attacks better. Here's hoping Miller stays healthy, because as soon as he took the field, everything changed for the better.
In what has become an annual rite of spring... CF Montréal part ways with Marco Donadel Jonathan Sigal Sunday, Apr 12, 2026, 10:21 AM mlssoccer.com
Yeah, Joey Saputo strikes again. Fish rots from the head. This will further complicate a new coach hiring because, really, what pedigreed coach would take the job? I've seen comments from Montreal supporters emotionally shouting out for everyone to start supporting Supra du Quebec, the newest entry into the CPL.
Yeah, and they started the season with a ton of away games. OK, so their first home game, they lost to a winless team, but they really didn't play badly against us. They should have waited a few more weeks to give the guy a chance to turn it around.
