Shaping up to be another Revolution season that can be summed up as a failure. But there are so many excuses to go around that we’ll just forgive everyone and keep them on.

Porter: I started late, I inherited these players, the players didn’t learn my system quickly enough, the players were injured

Onalfo: I got good players but they were injured, the players took too long to learn the system

Players: We got injured a lot it’s the trainers fault, Wow that was a HARD system to learn

Kraft: Uh… I was at the NFL draft. We did pretty well! Then there was NFL pre-season… etc.

    Miller looked promising.

I'll take one step further - Miller was the Revs best player. He hardly put a foot wrong all night. All his crosses were dangerous. Wood should have scored off one of them in the first half. His shot that hit the post was a rocket, he played with total confidence, and he's super fast. He needs to play from here on out. If it means moving Jones or Bye to the bench, so be it. This kid is too talented not to play. Oh by the way, he's 16.

I went to this match expecting a nothing night given all the injuries and the Revs lack of scoring punch. Instead we got to witness Miller's first start - and it was memorable.

The Revs deserved to win. One mistake by Kessler resulted in the draw - which is what happens with not-good teams. But if you told me they'd get a point tonight with the squad they tossed out there, I'd gladly take it.

You could argue that Porter went to 5 in the back too soon - around the 82 minute mark with lots of stoppage time likely, given all the injury delays. But Tommy Mac couldn't go any further and the only bench options for attacking players were all young and inexperienced.

5 at the back seems to be the team's kryptonite.

Hoe many points have we dropped after adding the 3rd CB? Have we managed to see any games out without conceding? The games weve started in a 3 ATB weve gotten blown out.

At some point porter has to learn right?

Before the game began they put up the lineups on TV. The analyst for the game said that Esmir has his work cut out for him because there is not a lot of creativity in that lineup. Seems everybody knows!

The Revs just don't play smart. How can Kessler even remotely think that you can get away with a two-handed shove in the box? If he tried going shoulder to shoulder and got called for the foul, that's one thing, but to just shove down a player, that's ridiculous.

I want to see the Revs incorporate more of the kids into the lineup. Watching the veterans make boneheaded plays is getting old. With the kids, we can write it off as a learning experience and who knows, maybe they won't make as many stupid plays.

Both team missing their top 2 goal scorers. Zero shots on goal by either team at halftime (3 for the game, 1 Revs). A coincidence? I think not!

Don't know why they called it an own goal. On TV, Wood clearly got a touch to it. Robbed Miller of a great assist.

Sam Lloyd said it best at halftime: "All the Revs highlights involved Peyton Miller."

I said they needed 10 pts from these last 5 games. They got 4.

Enjoy the Leagues Cup "break" guys, and get healthy. Some of you may not have jobs when the break is over (assuming Onalfo is any good at his job, which is yet to be proven - and the fact the Wood has a chronic condition, they were short on strikers when the season started, and they didn't have one signed when the window opened, is criminal).

Agreed with those above that said Miller was MOTM. There were two things that I took out of the game ... the kids are fun and entertaining. The veterans keep making kid type mistakes.

Great to see Miller make the bench on the list of MLS Team of the Matchday.

Disappointing result, for sure. We had the 3 points in the bag... Of course, we'd be thrilled if it was the other way around, getting a stoppage-time equalizer.

I noticed on the replay that Wood definitely got a foot on the ball, so it should have been his goal. As long as it went into the net, I'll take it. Kessler should know better than to put himself in a situation where that kind of thing could happen. But it sure looked like the Dallas player pushed Kessler into the other Dallas guy.

Oh yeah, if we're going to wear white at home a couple of times a year, fine, but do it against a team that does not have Navy/Red for their colors! Every time Dallas won a 50/50 ball my reflex was that it was one of OUR guys.

    Porter's substitutions were horrible IMO.

Waited way too long to use Panayotou, who is a valuable asset on a thin bench and certainly deserved more p.t. base on recent play. He should have come in for McNamara much earlier - at the least.

Farrell for Kaye was the right move, but way late. Kaye was a giveaway machine.

He rode Wood way too long - use one of the kids from R2 much earlier.

The Mensah sub just signals Dallas to come at us, we're no longer trying to score.

I saw two Dallas breakaways that were a result of bad Kaye turnovers. But Kaye also was feeding Miller all night, including the pass to Miller that became the assist to Wood (on what was incorrectly ruled an own goal), and also (IIRC), the Miller shot off the post.
