Well, it's been a long time since the Revs (or TFC) last played ... 60 days (May 23rd). Revs are a very impressive 7-1-0 at home this season, but this will be the first game back on the turf field. Will that have an impact? Still no Campana, but I haven't seen the rest of the injury report yet. Going into the "second" half of the season, the Revs are in 4th place while TFC are 12th in the East (1-4-1 on the road). Overall Record vs. Toronto: 17-12-14 Home Record vs. Toronto: 11-5-7 One more note, if the schedule had held the way it was originally set (Houston not being postponed), the Revs would have finished this week with their 11th home game of the season, having only played 6 away matches. In other words, the original schedule had us playing 11 of the last 17 on the road. Instead it will be 10 of the last 17, since our 17th game will now be at Montreal.

Maybe they wanted to play as many games as they could on grass, but that doesn't help is for the stretch run of the season. As a rule of thumb, the home/away ratio should be relatively balanced, with no more than 2 games in either direction.
I'm going to go full "sports psychologist" and predict that the Revs lose, for the simple reason that suddenly finding themselves on the turf again will be demoralizing. It sort of reminds of that CCC game a few years back, when they gave up their second-leg home field advantage to avoid a scheduling conflict with some event at Gillette. It must be kind of a gut punch for the players whenever they're reminded of their "minor league" status.
I watched Marco's press conference. It seems to me that he's already mentally prepared the guys to ignore that distraction and just play the game.
Well, that was, um, ugly. They looked like they hadn't played in months. Watching the broadcast, I was surprised to hear Phil Neville as the commentator (he wasn't great either). I can see why they made ATL the free tickets game instead of this one.
Yeah, they needed to get that one out of the way to shake the rust off. It's frustrating because in the normal course of this season we'd expect 3 points against Toronto. Gil had those two chances back to back but that was about it.
Guess I overthought this one... Looked like the problem was more good old-fashioned rust. Hoping it was an anomaly.

Random collection of some of my takeaways from last evening.: Kohler looks solid, Will Sands looked OK and at times very good, the game was always a few steps ahead of Polster, why isn’t the team finding or forcing it to Miller more often, Yusuf can do more and should be asked to. Also - Gil needs to: translate his lateral dribbling instead into finding vertical runners with hard diagonal passes (he used to do that more) and find a trusted partner in the middle of the field. Needs to add far more combo play. (Maybe a few more minutes with Fagundez late in a game to try to break down a tired defense?)
Yow looked better than he had all season, but had 3 chances (2 shots, 1 cross) to get us a lead and came up empty. Good game from Gil (one of his best this year), but didn’t get much help. We were good in the first half, but pretty discouraging that we got less organized/effective offensively down the stretch, rather than more. We brought Langoni on, yet he hardly touched the ball.
I think Gil did that because he used to have vertical runners. Not sure anyone on this team is making those runs anymore
What did Yow do to convince you he had a good game? To me, he's the classic all show no substance type player. I don't know if the expectation is to score but he didn't impress me beyond being an active nuisance. We need to stay away from that type.
I think he's USL level. Looks like he fits the part but does very little when he's on the pitch to impact winning. We've had a few like him in recent years.
I didn't say he had a good game, I said he looked better than he had previously. What he did well/better - he got himself in position for scoring chances and setup chances. Not good enough, but better IMO.
