First of 3 road games in 8 days, with a trip to DCU on Wednesday, then to Montreal next Saturday.
That is followed by a FIFA bye weekend (only 5 MLS games Jun 7-8) and 3 home games in June.

According to Porter in the Blazing Musket, Campana will only miss a couple of weeks and could be back for the June 14th home game.

if Campana is this fragile the revs should seriously consider bringing in another striker this summer. Sure would be nice to field someone other that Urutti

As far as I'm concerned, Ganago can be replaced too (his loan ends this summer). One goal in 12 games isn't good enough (unless they are paying him to flop and draw PKs).

Urruti with a nice finish reminiscent of his days back in Portland! We certainly needed it. No reason to have been down anyway. We were totally asleep in the beginning of the second half.

Great first half, then a collapse, then a bounce-back. I'm not sure what happened when KC when on that run of goals. Sure they were inspired and deserved to get back in the match but where were our heads at? That said, nice response by us after going down 3-2. Diaz impacted the match and it's nice to see Urruti get one - and a big one at that.

A point on the road is a decent result but they really should have walked away with all 3. Miller was excellent in the first half and went the full 90. It's been great watching his development.

Carles was an absolute monster in this one

A shame Porter tried to defend through the lead, SKC couldn't handle us when we had the ball

I’m not convinced that was his intention, coming out of halftime. I think players often fail to fully grasp how different an opponent can be after the break. They probably warned about stuff like that, but the players just had 45 minutes where they were able to penetrate with ease and had little trouble snuffing out attacks.

While the result is a little disappointing after hopes were raised, I think the team deserves a ton of credit for reversing a tidal wave of momentum and getting something out of the match. The likeliest and easiest outcome would have been a tough road loss, but they weren’t willing to settle for that.

Having Urruti, Ganago and Chancalay involved in the scoring was really good to see.

How they totally bollixed up another great chance on the goal that was reviewed and called back was pretty incredible. Just kick the ball in the darn net!

My impression was that we stopped defending in about the 37th minute. We didn't look like we were paying attention after that point in the first half (I noticed Miller in particular, but there were plenty of suspects). That didn't hurt us much while KC was so hapless in the attack. But they were able to reorient themselves at the half, and ripped us apart. I don't think it was a coincidence that when Finegold and Fofana came out, things firmed up. I don't blame them in particular for the three-goal collapse, but the new bodies in on D helped reset our focus. We really need to avoid lulling ourselves into a stupor.

The Revs were dominant in the first half.

Zavagnin made 3 substitutions at half time, and it took the Revs 20 minutes to adjust. I don't think the Revs ever possessed the ball in the offensive half for that entire 20 minutes. I've never seen such a stark contrast between halves. Full disclosure: I went to bed (happy) at half time, and watched the second half in the morning.

Ganago was clearly offside, I don't understand why that one even went to VAR. He was offside because he lunged for the through ball, missed, and slid into the path of the return ball. He had a nice assist on the Chancalay goal, but I still don't want his loan extended.

Miller was dangerous down the wing again, and his cross created the own goal by Bartlett. Good thing, because Jones is tearing it up since joining the Quakes (1 G, 3 A in 4 starts).

I’d disagree on Ganago - I think he’s been a threat all season. Whether he’s scoring or not, the whole attack is benefiting.

As for Jones, he was a rising player for us, until he got stale. Good for him if he’s found himself after getting traded twice, but he did little for us when we were really struggling and needed some leadership. And his crossing was never even close to what Miller can do. My only concern about Miller is that he’s expected to be sold before too long.

I thought it was interesting that virtually all our scoring opportunities, and there were a lot, came from low crosses from the wings, from a variety of sources. Virtually nothing up the middle. Was KC so obsessed with shutting off the threat from Gil up the middle that they totally conceded the wings? They couldn’t handle Miller and didn’t do much better with Feingold or Diaz. OTOH, they weren’t troubled by Bye, pretty much because he’s never developed his offensive game (which is why Feingold passed him by so quickly).

Well, the game turned back in the Revs favor once Bye replaced Feingold.

Yes, for sure. I’m not sure if Feingold was struggling physically or not, but Bye’s experience, maturity and defensive focus were key factors in stabilizing things.

Fofana was replaced at the same time and I wonder also if he was having a physical problem or whether Porter wasn’t happy with his play.

Something tells me the latter as in Porter's interview with Jeff L. he alluded to replacing players who were not effective (I'm paraphrasing there).

And I don't doubt the yellow had a part as well.

Overall, not a terrible result, but blowing a 2-0 lead is always killer. They controlled the first half, and then controlled the last 10 or so of the second. What happened in between was absolutely horrid. Someone above noted that we didn't get the ball into their half for the first 20 or so minutes, and I was yelling about that watching the game. Horrible giveaways repeatedly. and the color guy was right, what was the rush to take the FK that resulted in KCs second goal?

Disagree on the nothing up the middle comment.

All those crosses were the direct result of slide rule passes from Gil to overlapping wide players. This wasn't your classic wing runs to corner and lobs it in

Unless I missed it, one thing to note ... Ivacic was not good in this game. The first two goals were off terrible rebounds, he's gotta know where to push those shots, not into the path of oncoming players.

I probably should have said shots from the middle - other than Chancalay’s from distance.
