Record: 3-2-2 (W-D-D-L-L-W-W), 11 pts, 3rd in the West(!, but still, Fire BRUCE!) VS Record: 3-2-0 (D-W-W-D-W), 11 pts, 1st in the East Head-to-Head: LA Galaxy (16-18-6) Venue: Red Bull Arena Time: 2:00 PM PST TV: ESPN 2
I thought that jackass Marsch deserved another chance, but not at the expense of Petke. I expected NY to be in shambles. Now, I'm kinda shocked at their start. Whatevs, their turn to taste defeat comes Sunday.
Based on the MLS season thus far and the respective run of form for both teams I predict … a soccer game will likely be played for approximately 90 minutes
Here you go: REF: TED UNKEL AR1: Matthew Nelson AR2: Kevin Klinger 4TH: Jorge Gonzalez I don't really know who these guys are, they don't sound familiar (usual cast of clowns).
Just tonight watched Unkel call a stinker of a game - last weekend's RSL-VAN. Typical let everything go.
Bruce typically gets us good results against good teams so I feel confident. I'd take a draw, but want a win. Hopefully Keane is back.
Looks like Villarreal hurt his hamstring again in match with Mexico so I doubt he will be available for a while
I'm seeing it reported as a strain. Apparently he said it was precautionary as he felt it tighten and didn't want to make it worse. Anyone know how bad strains usually are? Maybe there's enough time before the game on Sumday for him to recover?
This game makes me nervous. Also think BJIV deserves at least the bench if Keane is back. Unleash the kid.
It sounds more and more pessimistic about Keane's return : http://www.lagalaxy.com/blog/beat/2...y-update-jose-villarreal-suffers-hamstring-st
#$%ing turf. I won’t be surprised if Keane starts to have ThierryHenjuries™ when LA is due to play on fake fields. I don’t blame him either. Better to miss one match than three. I hope one season DPs get together and all refuse to play on turf for the season. See how long MLS’ maintains its complacent/complicit attitude towards plastic pitches.
Official : no Keane against the Red Bulls (http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...kely-miss-new-york-red-bulls-clash-la-galaxy-). Like I said in last game's thread, it's not he first time we expect Keane to come back from an injury and his recovery is finally longer than expected.
The upside is we get to hopefully see more of Zardes and BJ4 on the field together again with Gordo as the target man. Weirdly excited by this. Could be a pretty wild game offensively for us! Whether we actually score or not is going to be a different story.
