First of three games in a week next week. There will be some squad rotation, although the fact that they are all at home helps. It will be interesting to see if Bruce trots out a more regular lineup for the Open Cup game because it is the semifinals, or basically uses the Lletget/Magee/Gordo types in that game with starters on the bench if needed. If we see some of the regular starters sitting for this game against NYRB, that would suggest we are saving them for the Dallas Cup game. If Zardes' chest strain is minor, it may have been a blessing in disguise because avoiding the Seattle turf and taking a week off gave his legs a break and perhaps made him available for more time next week.
Goal USA @GoalUSA 42s43 seconds ago Dax McCarty announces four to six weeks out of action http://dlvr.it/LxDfmn Pretty big blow for the Red Bulls. He seemed to be a critical cog for the team.
Yes, he and Klejstan seem to be the engine of that midfield. It will be a real test of Marsch's command as a manager.

The Galaxy saw their four-game winning streak put to an end, but still extended their overall undefeated run to seven matches as Sebastien Lletget scored a late equalizer for a 1-1 draw. The Red Bulls extended their undefeated streak to five games with a third draw in that time, Bradley Wright-Phillips netting a late equalizer in a 2-2 draw with the Chicago Fire on Sunday evening at Toyota Park. It was the third goal for Wright-Phillips over the last two matches; he is tied for second in the MLS Golden Boot standings with 12 goals this season, all coming over the last 16 matches. The teams played to a 1-1 draw last April 26 at Red Bull Arena, the only meeting between the clubs. The Red Bulls are undefeated in their last three home meetings with the Galaxy, after the LA defeated New York 1-0 on Aug. 14, 2010, the first meeting ever between the clubs in Harrison. The Galaxy took the last meeting between the teams at StubHub Center, a 4-0 victory Sept. 28, 2014, which was their first victory vs. the Red Bulls since 2010. New York had won four of the five meetings in between, with one draw, including 1-0 wins in the only meeting in 2012 and 2013. Gyasi is expected to return to training this week : http://www.lagalaxy.com/post/2016/0...g-week-ahead-new-york-red-bulls-match-insider NYRB have a CCL game at home tonight. I don't know what sort of lineup they'll play.
Gyasi is out for Sunday. Says "I think I'll be back next week" and he "started training today"(Friday). Hopefully by "next week" he means Wednesday.
Finally getting to a game this season! Last two games I recall us playing NYRB at home: the one where I heard Magee score twice, for New York, before I got in to the stadium, eventually losing 3-something and the Friday night game where "The is LA" was played live at the top of 138. We lost. 2-1 I think. So I'm sorry for the loss, but I need some live footy after more than a year (last game was Gio's home debut I believe) Anyone know if Father's BBQ is still there? I also want some brisket real bad
Is BJ4 injured? He would seem like a Gyasi-lite in terms of an option off the bench.... Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
Looks like fox sports 1 screwed up the new York player graphic, haha Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
