I may be buying this one. Although, living with Herbalife's reputation, I'm glad Led Zeppelin won the recent lawsuit(though, justly?). The "Swan Song" or Icarus connotations are a bit disconcerting, too. The description from lagalaxy.com says the symbols along the bottom are for Gerrard, Gio and Keane. I initially thought they just said F Gerrard and the five rings were for our five Cups. And is that Gordo with wings? The more I think about it, what with the Led Zeppelin-black magic stuff, the more I don't like this poster and am worried it'll curse us. 3 points will put all that to bed though, so LETS GO Gs! Friday 8pm Univision, UniMas
As a LA fan who now lives in Texas, I love our matches against the Dynamo. I have numerous friends who support Houston, and it's always great to see us beat them Hopefully Gio has another great match and we see another big scoreline!
All I can see is a picture of a Gs player flopping big time. Flop city at its finest. Maybe it's a Clippers player ;D The wings represent the Gs player praying to the heavens for the ref to award them a PK for the dive. Edit: Or maybe the wings represent the Gs player ascending up to the heavens after being barely clipped, but reacting as if he'd been shot.
Now that I see how it is being mocked, they should have put the GK kit on that player. Flying Brian? The Save Remains the Same?
Looks like NDJ is suspended for this game, and Cole is not expected to play either. http://www.lagalaxy.com/post/2016/0...lder-nigel-de-jong-suspended-additional-match http://www.lagalaxy.com/post/2016/07/13/ashley-cole-not-expected-play-vs-houston-dynamo-insider Probably the same line-up from last weekend.
I would say that's a good game to be without De Jong, hopefuly we won't need him to beat this Houston team at home. Beasley is out for the Dynamo, and that's a good news because I remember he played fairly well against us in the past.
This is an important game for the team to pick up all 3 points. Two of the teams that are ahead of us currently in the standings lost. We can not only make ground up, but surpass a team as well.
LA GALAXY vs. HOUSTON DYNAMO STUBHUB CENTER • Carson, Calif. July 15, 2016 • Week 19 • MLS Game #189 11 pm ET (UniMas, MLS LIVE) Robbie Keane scored his second goal in his second game after returning from Euro 2016, the Galaxy claiming a 1-0 win Saturday at Seattle Sounders FC. It was a second consecutive win for the Galaxy on the heels of a seven-game winless run – of which Keane missed five games. The Dynamo recorded a second consecutive shutout and a third in their last four games, reaching a fourth draw in six games since Wade Barrett took over as interim head coach in their 0-0 result at Orlando City SC on Friday, July 8. Frankly this looks a lot of what I would expect from the LAFC, especially the LA. Of course, I am a grumpy old man.
The pitch might look a little different tonight "Beginning this Friday, July 15, StubHub Center will become the first soccer-specifc stadium in Major League Soccer to illuminate its field using high-efficiency LED sports lights." http://www.lagalaxy.com/post/2016/0...ium-major-league-soccer-use-led-sports-lights
A little worried that this may be a bit of a trap game. We've finally looked a little ore coherent defensively, we've got a chance to make up some ground on some teams ahead of us, and we're playing at home against a supposedly weaker team. NO STUPID MISTAKES!!!
Seriously though this is a great move. Next up solar panels on the West side of the stadium to power these.
We can! I believe for the first time all season we will have the same starting XI for back to back games.
