NBC All eyes in MLS turn to the final regular season showdown. LA Win takes the supporters shield, Tie guarantees the MLS Cup in LA if we get that far, Lose and we hope we stayed healthy and we take our chances in the playoffs. So the most important thing is to stay healthy and not run our starters into the ground on the turf. Right, Bruce? Omar Gonzalez suspended with his unfortunate red card in the last game. Go Galaxy!
This is actually perfect. Seattle has been in the supporters shield position virtually every week all year, and now we get snatch it away from them in the last week, on their home turf.
If this happens, I literally don't know what I'd do with myself: DuckDodgers @flyingsoccerdad · 18h18 hours ago @GalaxyPodcast When Leo scores the game winner vs SEA next weekend to give us the SS, do we forgive him once and for all?
I never had hate for these flounder fans .... But now that they are poking their chest out on mlsssoccer.com , i just wanna see them get embarrassed at home..
I want nothing more than to see all of those dedicated, die-hard Seattle Sounders fans be given a full refund for their game this Saturday…..
I actually like our chances for this game. We play well in Seattle (even on that abomination of a football field in the Seahawk's football stadium). There is no more drama and distractions with LD's last home game of the regular season. We can focus and just play our game. Seattle hopefully is staying their cocky selves and thinking that they got this game in the bag (especially with Omar missing the game). Hopefully, Dempsey stays up real late on Friday night working on some killer rap lyrics and beats, and is too tired to bitch and "front" the whole game on Saturday. One worry as seen from this weekend: We start winning the game on Saturday and Seattle goes all "thug mode" again attempting to injure our players...you know, since they are so classy. Such a bunch of "deucebags". Hope we win. Hope DC wins (I know this will piss off some people on the board)....but, think about it...DC winning could push Seattle down to third place overall in the league.
I want to beat them. Badly. I can't remember the last time I have been this riled up for an MLS game.
I tried reading through some of their comments on the post game section. My favorite is that Martins had 2 assists and Keane did nothing, therefor Martins is the MVP. They never did mention Martins also kicked AJ away from the ball. Is that what an MVP does??? I can't wait to read their excuses after we beat them on Saturday!!
After 2½ games of LA underwhelming I’d just like to see a return to form. If Bruce & the boys can manage that the rest takes care of itself. I’ve also revised my previous wish for a win or a loss. Any points will be beneficial re: MLS Cup final, but also Seattle winning the Supporters’ Shield while failing to beat the second place team, being outscored, out defended and out performed against play off opponents will be hilarious. It’s not quite a poisoned chalice, but much like my 1993 track team’s league title win*, they’ll know it’s a title won on a technicality. * After watching a commanding lead over the season evaporate in the final meet of the season, the championship hinged on the last event of the day a 4x400 meter relay. If the second place team finished ahead of ours they take the league title, and they did. However their anchor leg in his jubilation “spiked” the baton after (before? I never was quite sure) crossing the finish line, leading to a disqualification.
54,000 tickets sold for LD's last regular season game http://blog.thenewstribune.com/socc...s-need-62841-for-record-schmid-wants-sellout/
Serious question, how does this refund thing work? And, if I've got tickets in the away team section for Saturday and the Galaxy win, do I get my money back too.... That would be the sweetest deal ever!!!!
The black jerseys and a tight win on the road. Everyone that is supposed to play well will play well this game.
Man, I can't wait for this but I'm so nervous that I'm not sure if I will be able to watch. I want a win, dammit!
Kick off at noon! FYI: @SoundersFC confirm that #SEAvLA will kick off at noon.— Adam Serrano (@AdamSerrano) October 23, 2014
Sean Steffan's analysis from the last game - it's interesting. Not sure I agree with all of this (the Rogers commentary I'm not sure about), but he has some really good points as usual. http://www.lagconfidential.com/2014...aggio-husidic-landon-donovan-seattle-sounders
