I'm sure wargalaxy is working up something delightful for the official PBP thread. Thought this thread can hold us over until then.

A chance to put a hurtin on SJ's playoff hopes and of course to have LD break the MLS all-time goals record against them too? 'Nuff said!

Win or tie and we're in the playoffs for sure, so that's a big motivator as well as the chance of getting to the shield.

Thanks to a bigsoccer friend, we are going to this game. Very excited and hope that 1) we beat SJE like they deserve to be beaten - into the ground, 2) Donovan breaks the goal-scoring record. I was there when he broke the national team goal-scoring record (at the HDC) and that was a PK, not too scintillating.

EDIT: but I enjoyed it anyway!

I'm contemplating on whether to attend or not. My buddies are out of town so I'd be going solo, but I guess I would be there with 25,000 other "buddies" though.

Are there any good places to park away from the stadium? Usually when I meet up with someone before the game we meet at Fatburger and just leave one of the cars there. I'm afraid this Sunday that lot will be all filled up.

Worried about someone going in on LD's ankle. Cause we all know if there was one team to just keep diving viciously at it, it's this team.

Hoping it's #Landon135 this weekend and three points. :)

    Nervous.

It would be pretty nice to have him break the all time record against his old team from his dark past.

Let's destroy the Smurfs' playoff hopes. They don't deserve to be there anyway. Worst goal difference amonst Western teams not named Chivag yet they are only a point out of a playoff spot. LMAO. Talk about being lucky.

San Jose aren’t looking all that bad right now and know it’s pretty much win or go home. Throw in the fact they’re complete hacks and Gordon’s irritating propensity for scoring (late) goals against us this game worries me. I’d consider leaving Landon, 135 is all but guaranteed if not this season then next and the last thing I want to see is Lenhart, Bernardez or one of their other thugs put Landon out of the playoffs.

This is my worry. You know Lenhart or Bernardez is going into a slide tackle right into his left ankle in the first 30 minutes.

I'm going to operate with a grimace this entire game.

The Galaxy wrote the book on bunker and counter (when needed), which the smurfs seem to have copied as of late.
We can play that style better than anyone else.
I am expecting they go aggressive on this game, though.

First of all, I hope we pound these pathetic pieces of trash in the ground. My hate for all things Nor Cal was just increased by all the douche comments when the Dodgers got killed, ugh :(

Second of all, if the RSL/PDX game stays a draw we can go to #1 i the West and the way the Flounders look we should have 3 points in Seattle.

Lastly, anyone on yellow card watch? Does it follow us into the playoffs? Or hell even a red card can happen, you know those pathetic smurfs will try to get all sorts of cards on us.

i agree with Landon, at least starting out. I think we can win this and i'd like us to finish 1st in the west. home field advantage helps, a lot

Why "temporary"? I like it, Those bums don't deserve to recognized by their pseudo club moniker! Smurfs is what they are and smurfs is how the will die.

Great results for the Galaxy tonight. Seattle loses, and PDX/RSL tie. A win tomorrow and we're in first place in the West.

Given the tie breakers, even a draw will eliminate San Jose. Really should force them to press at some point and offer opportunities for the counter.

He's there been any updated statements on LD's ankle since prior to the Montreal game?

Penedo has to treat San Jose like they are the USA and that this is his Panamanian team. His anger will turn into motivation to come out angry and determined, a keeper that needs to play out of his skins to get the job done. If he thinks forward, the Galaxy will move forward.
