Broadcast on ESPN2. For a few more regular season games, we are the home of the greatest player ever in MLS. Plus we just totally rock as a team. This will be a good chance to practice our away form. I have total faith in Gordon to fill in for Keane, and Baggio and Ishizaki will surely carry the Marcelo Sarvas crown of perpetual effort for a day. I believe Omar and Landon will be back from national team duty, hopefully safe and sound... Go Galaxy!
So no Sarvas and Keane, for sure. Omar, maybe. Rogers and Gargan, maybe. Donovan, for sure, but perhaps limited minutes... No problem, right....?
That's the spirit! Seriously, we will be a bit depleted, and we're not at our best away from home. (don't tell anyone, but I'm not expecting to win. will be pleasantly surprised if we do!)
Worst case scenario: ----------Zardes---Gordon---------- Donovan--------------------Ishizaki ---------Juninho---Husidic--------- Riley--Meyer--Leonardo--AJDLG ----------------Penedo--------------- That team still get three points.
I like that Idea but with Gordon coming off the bench on the road actually, but who could play LM? Husidic with Walker in CM? If Rogers can start, perhaps he can play LM with Riley playing LB again.
It’s hard to keep track of these things, but I thought during the recent Seattle/Dallas match the announcers mentioned Perez would be missing for this game due to an international call up.
Absolutely no to Zardes on the wing. He's way to valuable up top. If LD can't go 90 then BJIV, Villareal or even Mendiola on the wing. These guys deserve a chance to shine under pressure. If Gargan or Rodgers are ready, the AJ in the middle. Dallas is sooo athletic and quick on the counter
I also remember reading or hearing that Perez would be with his national team. Don't remember where, but it was announced! That's a positive for us!
Looks like Rogers is expected to be sidelined a few weeks, probably until the postseason. Source: http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...time-la-galaxys-injury-plagued-outside-back-p
We have a secret weapon. Don't forget: I will be there! And remember my track record for seeing the Galaxy live.... <knocks on wood - can't jinx it!>
My lone chance to see the Galaxy this year, I'm happy either way, but really wouldn't mind seeing another 3 points.
I'm hoping Leonardo will be left back . . . . . . at his house, in Los Angeles, until he can learn to defend without making his usual bonehead mistakes.
From the #USMNT media availability: @J_Klinsmann says @landondonovan will start and play 30 minutes in #USAvECU #LegenD— U.S. Soccer Men's National Team (@USMNT) October 7, 2014
I wonder how long Gonzalez will play. We need him nearly just as much as LD. I want the supporters shield!!
