Becks is sucking wind. He should've been subbed out.

Bowen really cannot do anything even one on one. he slows down and then looses it. Do it again and again.

NYRB keeper (I won't even attempt to spell it) for the Game MVP. He had quite a night.

JP and Harkes need to slobber all over Condoul the way they did over Beckham. Don't get me wrong - Beckham was really good. But with a mere mortal in the NY goal, this scoreline looks a lot better.

    God, that sucked.

Becks is a true professional. Stayed on the field and shook hands with everyone, acknowledged the crowd. LD could learn a lot from him.

Well now we see what happens when we miss both Omar and Greg at the same time. I can't wait until we can ship Leonardo back to Brazil.

Very disappointing. Like I said earlier, you just can't win with your 3rd 4th and 5th string CBs... Leonardo and Marshall each made a big mistake leading to each of the goals.

Juninho gave the ball away more than I've ever seen from him.

Buddle never got into the game, and looked totally gassed late in the first half, and just kinda limped around the second 45, trying to kind of camouflage with the grass.

I thought the only bright spot really was Beckham. I'm definitely not a fan boy, and I've been critical in the past- but his effort was really heartening. We all know he can hit amazing long balls, and free kicks, and he did that today. But what impressed me was his fight and heart. For those that were at the stadium, Alan Hopkins told us on the TV broadcast that he told Bruce and Dave in the 70th minute that he was okay- not to sub him out. He looked like he was sucking wind massively in a closeup soon after. I doubt if he was fit enough for 90 mins, but he sprinted all over the place the last 10 minutes, even with the loss all but assured. I was proud of the never give up attitude.

He came off his line well, but I don't think he made one actual difficult save... the save on Becks' freekick was showy but really, the shot wasn't anywhere near the upper 90.

Condoul could cheat toward claiming crosses because he knew we weren't going to shoot the f'ing ball.

This is not a team that's going to take the Supporters Shield, never mind the cup.

I can't see us getting out of the first round of playoffs at this point.

I just wish Becks didn't have to constantly cleanup after Bowen tonight. The kid missed a good chance and on his second chance from Donovan pass he had no power in the shot despite it being on target. The kid is not a midfielder. He needs to play forward only. And it's one thing to have Beckham drifting and going deep because he can cross balls from out of position that with enough precision to find the target, but Juninho was wayyy deep all game as well when he shouldn't have been because that is not his game. This is the second game that his playing out of position caused like zero link up with the forwards. He is a short range passer not a long range guy. Sigh...very frustrating.

All I see is a team with a terrible conditioning program. We looked two steps behind the energy drinks all night. They were superior everywhere, period. Thier defense, outside of the last twenty minutes when they pulled back absolutely dominated us up top and made a joke of us. AYSO players of the night: Bowen, Juninho, Leonardo, Buddle, Dunivant and Jovan. Thanks for nothing. Call me a fan boy all you want, Becks was straight up brilliant in every way and once again, no one up top can handle his service.

We need someone who has the nuts to TAKE A FRIGGIN' SHOT!!!!!! It's easy dumbsh*ts, when it's just you and the keeper, shoot the damn ball!!!!! We finish like a second rate rec team.

Stunned, angry and disappointed. We will NEVER win the cup at this level of play. We are the 5th best team in the league right now, at best.

    Booo.

I disagree with that. I'm glad Landon is angry about this game and he should be. I think for Landon it's strictly about the game, but with Beckham it's so much more. He's back on the field, and not just playing, but promoting the Beckham brand. The game was a loss, but promoting the brand again on the field was a win for him and I'm sure he's happy just to be playing again.

Beckham played well tonight, but it always worries me that he's going to dominate the ball too much and make the Galaxy predictable. I think that's part of the reason the Galaxy have a better record without him than with him. They constantly look for him and they quit playing a more natural brand of soccer.

Jesus Christ. Give it a rest. The man played better than anyone else in a G's uniform tonight and then shook everyone's hand. I can't believe you can still find a way to bash the guy. Let it go already.
