To be fair, an option he chooses not to play.

Nuno uses two subs in a tight one, with no Otasowie, because I think he can turn in his leftover subs for a free sandwich after the game at a local establishment.

Used the third sub, not OO, and it ends 1-1. Wolves' decidedly mediocre campaign marches on.

Shame wolves didn’t send him on loan. This is a waste of a year of development

Hate to bump this from Saturday.... however he just made a huge mistake leading to a goal.

don’t imagine we’ll see him again for a while.

Yup. First touch I think, stripped trying to dribble out of the defensive box, and five seconds later, ball was in the net.

    Unfortunately yes.

tried to take a dribble in the final third and got caught in possession. so two of his most recent game actions have been a missed open header and a turnover for a goal.

I will say it’s terrible man management by nuno.
Starts the kid as a quasi false 9 one game. Then he gets in a good spot for a game winning goal and then he doesn’t get a minute for months.. then a weird sub against the best team in the world in the 87th min down a goal.

I don’t get how that helps a young player. Either way, he needs a loan to the championship next year.

    yikes - bummer .....

and after he gives up the ball and it is in the back of the net he bends down to straighten up his socks.

yes a loan where he can get PT more regularly would be helpful I think.

At least that wasn't the only goal they gave up.

Yeah, it wasn't an example of putting the kid in position to succeed. Nuno does other things well, but this situation has been a disaster for OO - they have little enough depth that they always want him in the squad, but not enough to play him, so that he's super-rusty when he does come in and fails before even getting his head into the game.

I hope the US gives him a lot of minutes in the upcoming friendlies - almost no one in the pool could use an extended run of minutes more.

My days, what is with people lately? Young players make errors. Young players go through dips in form. Young players struggle for minutes. Every thread for young Americans is filled with comments claiming they need moves because they're going through a rough patch, while the same posters were looking forward to this lot winning the WC in 2022 just a few months ago. It's bordering on lunacy.

Heck, they didn't even let him suit up. Talk about being in the dog house.

To absolutely no ones surprise, he’s not in the squad today.

nuno absolutely ruined him. He has to leave this summer.

I just remember him sitting in the goal for minutes on end after he missed that header to draw that match in the 90th. No teammates came to get him, just left him there. I had a bad feeling after that.
