He turned 20 in January. Was literally only playing because of injury problems. They are keeping him with Wolves this season because: A) he's super young and B) he's particularly raw per the club's statements. I genuinely believe loaning him out this season would be malpractice -- next season it would likely make much more sense.

The full list of "Central Midfielders" who are Owen's age or younger than him that have played more than 0 minutes in the Prem this season (with total Prem minutes in parentheses) is below. It's basically just Curtis Jones -- who is a generational talent -- who has played more than him in the prem this year. If I change the cut to "Defensive Midfielders" -- it's only Owen. The next youngest DM is > 1 year older than Owen (Ibrahima Diallo).

The thing is -- he may just well play more mins this season if they reach the 'no mans land' mid-table stretch and/or play a few non-competitive games. Given the below data, I'm already psyched he played meaningful prem minutes at all this year -- anything else is gravy.

    Curtis Jones (809 minutes)
    Owen Otasowie (114 minuts)
    Alexandre Jankewitz (3 minutes)
    Billy Gilmour (34 minutes)
    Caleb Watts (16 minutes)
    Elliot Anderson (3 minutes)

At the end of the bench, per usual, but the game is shaping up for Otasowie to be the difference-maker today if he gets the chance. Southampton 1-1 Wolves @ 65'.

DNP today, Wolves with a 1-2 victory nevertheless. Continuing the late substitution pattern we've come to know and not love, Nuno brought in:

    Marcal @ 69'
    Fabio Silva @ 89'
    Max 'Buzz' Kilman* @ 90+3'

    Fabio Silva is 18 btw.

    * Pronounced "Buzzkill, man" of course.

    Wolves 0-0 Leeds @ 60', in a game that screams for Otasowie's larger-than-life presence!

Adama Traore with a brilliant strike that bounces off of the woodwork and off the keeper's back to go in. 1-0. Bring Owen in to hold the lead, please?

Wolves use their second sub to replace their first sub, who came off as an apparent injury precaution. Chances of an OO Cameo approaching zero.

Fabio Silva on as the last sub, and yet another DNP. Dude needs some reps.

Posting this on multiple threads is a dick move. Dick moves usually don't get people to listen to your pod.

There’s no need to insult the guy. A simple: hey just post this once in the US Men’s forum should work for you.

    A) There was a need. Spamming the forum is inappropriate.

    B) Calling something a dick move isn't an insult. It's telling it like it is.

If that offends your sensibilities, well...

It is a dick move and it's spam.

Usually results in a loss of posting privileges on most forums.

Unless I’m wrong...He’s just trying to hustle for podcast. And I would say that it’s fair to plead ignorance and it’s not meant to be a “dick move.”

Also, unless he’s already been corrected on the issue and he’s proceeded to post - I don’t get what attacking the guy accomplishes. To me, that’s more of a dick move.

But I get wanting to keep spam off the forum. It just seems like we can try honey before we go with vinegar.

Nobody attacked the guy it's no where near that serious. But copying and pasting self promotional material across multiple threads and forums is obviously self-serving and spams the community. Let's just be honest about that fact.

Guy knew what he was doing. Should be a ban/red card. It’s exceptional for its rarity here on BS. That standard needs to remain. @bungadiri

Yeah I tried to defend the guy out if my ignorance but tsr.
One thing I have learned from twitter is that Wolves are absolutely excellent when it comes to player management (Portugal says abrigado) and purchases.

OO is not getting time and that means it's time to move, like yesterday, move.

He will likely go out on loan next season. He has done amazingly well just to get minutes this season, so let’s slow down the hype train.

This season has been great for him — a member of the full side officially and has played some token minutes. Next season — he will either play a bigger role or they’ll loan him. I have zero issues with how they’ve handled him as an under 20 DCM.
