Nico Yennaris has cemented his place as a starter at Brentford, though the team is playing poorly at the moment in the Championship. (eligible for China PR)

Tim Chow is mostly making appearances from the bench, but Wigan are close to being promoted back to the Championship from League One. (eligible for Taiwan)

Lam Zhi Gin is pretty out of luck, turning from being a potential Bundesliga star at HSV with the likes of Son Heung-Min, but now making appearances for Greuther Furth II in the regionalliga. (eligible for Hong Kong)

Takahiro "Yang" Ko (高宇洋), who recently led Ichiritsu Funabashi High School to the Japanese national title, has been signed to a pre-contract with Gamba Osaka. His father is the ex-China NT player and manager Gao Sheng.

Eh, I follow Japanese soccer and Ko signing with Gamba was fairly important news as he was regarded as one of the top prospects in the HS class. He used to be an academy player at Kawasaki Frontale, the club I support - Gao Sheng played there in the 90s.

Takahiro Ko made his J1 League debut for Gamba, whose new manager Tsuneyasu Miyamoto was promoted from the 2nd team and promptly called up the youngster to play 90 minutes, forming a midfield pairing with Japan’s all-time cap leader Yasuhito Endō.

“Yang” (as he is called) hopes to catch the eye of Japan manager Hajime Moriyasu, who also coaches the U-21 NT preparing for the Tokyo Olympics.

This is a good thread that enjoys support from a wide swath of posters. I'm making it a sticky thread.

Nico Yennaris now going as Li Ke signing for Beijing Guoan and also becoming a Chinese national now. This will be interesting, hoping to see him assisting Wu Lei in the near future.
