    I’m all for depth but Kroos is the 2nd highest earner at the club now and with that will be one of the first names on the game sheet. You can make a case that the player has regressed the last two seasons. I don’t doubt his ability but I question the motivation. We could’ve made serious profit this summer on Kroos, but if the player doesn’t want to leave what can you do I guess.

    With Isco willing to stick around I think this means Modric is a goner imo. Probably off to Serie A.

    Pencil me into the Lo Celso camp btw. Skilled versatile player who never stops running, reminds me of Di Maria.

    This is the type of player we should be targeting for the midfield.

    Maybe but people assume that it's either rotation/bench player or undisputed starter which is far from the truth.

    If we for once use the squad effectively we'll see all the different aspects and roles within a squad.

    Also, wages are also held by seniority. It's his final contract, it would be heavy regardless.

    Ik terms of adding dynamism and pace to the game they aren't far from each other. And defensively they both wont help much.

    A motivated Kroos is one of the best in the world. I don't think he's been motivated for about a year and a half, especially this season. Zidane is banking on getting the best out of some of these players, and he'll have to live and die by that.

    The dynamics of the midfield have to change one way or the other. We are too static and far too similar. If Kroos stays, Modric either goes or has to accept a lesser role.

    I'm all for it if we can recover the Kroos I demanded Florentino buy from Bayern. If Zidane does that it's even more egg on the faces of Zidane haters like you.

    Isco must go though. Luca, Nacho and Asensio should follow.

    Agreed, this season is over and it’s veen a disaster. I think we should get rid of as much of the stink of it as possible! :)
