I finally have a DVD player (I'm a Luddite :) ). However, I can't find this on sale at the sites that used to have it. Anyone know where it's available?

I think I saw a thread about this not too long ago. It's very hard to find because pretty much no one is selling it anymore.

    I bought mine from www.ussoccerstore.com

I'd also check out the BigSoccer store, Reed Swain, and even Eurosport. Heck just Google "our way soccer dvd". I just did, and found a ton of places.

I posted this before Christmas and got lots of answers.

Bottom line is that you'd be hard pressed to find this at any retail outlet. Yuo can still get the VHS tape, but not DVD.

The legal way of doing it is contacting the USSF in Chicago. They have limited copies available for sale still. However, they aren't going to reproduce more, so when they are gone, they are gone.

Of course, you can always be nice to fellow posters and you may get an offer for a copy. I'm not one of them as I still have yet to get Our Way!!

you won't find the dvd for sale anywhere...

call up u.s. soccer like keeper0430 said and ask them as they still have a few copies left but not enough to actually put the item for sale on the site.

Assuming I can borrow the DVD from someone local (I'd be happy to provide a security deposit), is there a technical reason that prevents us from making a VHS copy?

I don't know about technical, but there are legal, ethical, and moral ones.

I sent them a check and a note requesting a copy in December and a copy arrived about six weeks later.

Highly recommend the vid. It's excellent.

Paired with the "Coming of Age" one that FIFA did, you really get quite a bit of highlights/footage and etc.

If the USSF is too lame to put more out there for sale, I won't lose sleep over making a VHS copy for my personal use. I'd prefer to buy the DVD, but I am not going write/call begging them to take my money.

Is it that difficult to burn more and sell them via their website? The production costs are sunk, and incremental costs per unit are minimal. Anyone know why they are not doing this?

I understand your frustration, however, I've worked along side this biz for many years and it sounds easier than it really is.

Also, once the run is done, there would generally be a minimum order that the USSF could place. Keep inmind that this isn't just a matter of copying the DVD. Packaging, insert, etc, all have to be re-done.

So, unless the USSF was flooded with e-mails about this, they are less than likely to do this.

So, taking that into consideration, I'd gladly wait a few weeks and support the organization than not.

    Found

I've been looking for a copy for a while, and I think I finally found some. I put an order in, and as far as I know its shipped and in stock. Hope this helps some others.

I'd like it if someone was to rip and encode the DVD into an avi or mpg.
