Is there anyone here who followed his career in college? I know he scored like crazy for Akron, so I'd be curious to know how he got most of his goals.
Teal should be done for a long time. Does he get an assist for that ball that bounced off him and fell to Zusi? Other than that blunder, he did nothing
Not impressed at all by this guy and I believed he had a lot of promise ( I still do), but for now, there area a lot of guys a head of him (Sapong) or just as deserving of a shot. Shea was frustrating to watch too, as he seemed to have a big issue with timing and playing to the speed of the international game. I'll chaulk some of this up to the offseason, but if you're a pro and really hungry to make this team, you'd find a way...
Don'tforget that, in his heyday, EJ was our national teams leading scorer. I don't see Bunbury as our leading scorer anytime soon, no matter how dire our striker situation is
Yeah, he is going to have to really earn that next callup with some good club form. He has to improve his hold up play.
No doubt his play was really poor! That said, don't be surprised if he is called for the Italy game. JK really believes in him and knows how to handle young players. Case and point, even though his game was very poor during the 1st half, JK didn't take him off until late in the second half. Right now, the one thing that Bunbury does well is pressure the back line of the opponent as well as track back. It's a part of his game that JK likes. Overall, my biggest disappointment with Bunbury is how easily he gets knocked off the ball. If that doesn't improve, he will be an average player in my eyes. That said, I expect him to greatly improve his game in the near future.

Sporting Kansas City trades forward Teal Bunbury to New England http://www.kansascity.com/2014/02/19/4834412/sporting-kansas-city-trades-forward.html
Too much to hope that the move to a young, attack-minded team like New England does for Bunbury what it did for Agudelo?
Not for his USMNT aspirations. Maybe it helps the Revs but Bunbury is worse option than Robbie Findley for a speed guy IMO.
Bunbury doesn't have half the talent Agudelo has. So....yes. Playing on the NE turf after that knee injury is cause for concern as well.
I don't think that he's viewed as a speed guy like Findley. He's more of a 9 in the mold of Jozy, Agudelo, Boyd. Though he does have decent wheels.
He does not have the best of touches, especially considering his father was a professional player and should've been teaching him at an early age. However, to put him at the bottom of the MLS heap for "touch" is a bit harsh.
Maybe but for someone who has actually been capped by the national team it's pretty shocking, especially for a CF. Considering his father was an international caliber forward I'm honestly not sure how that happened.
Well, international caliber forward in Canada, in the 90s, scoring once every four games, facing competition like Bermuda and El Salvador (of the time)... not exactly impressive, to be honest.
True but one would think the son of a pro forward, who was talented enough himself to become a pro, would have better technical ability than what he has.
