As a loyal Liverpool supporter of long standing, I reserve my right to blame the club for anything and everything I don't like
As well as non-football events, like, how your day goes after a LFC loss (or a win!) - it's not your fault, if Liverpool had scored when they had that chance, my day would be so much better!
I recognize that and I’ve no problems with FSG at all. However, I do have a problem with the current managerial situation
if Arsenal had had all the goals that they have previously been allowed for equivalent forceful interference with where players wish to place their heads and limbs, as with the one they managed to get written off on Sunday, my day would have been better....
Just realized that Chelsea's best chance of Euro next season is the Conference league ... and they may not even get that. Reinforces the "are you mad Xabi" thinking.
They have the fa cup final as their best shot they will likely lose against city but it's one game and a ticket to the EL
https://www.liverpool.com/liverpool-fc-news/features/xabi-alonso-chelsea-carragher-cole-33934668 Is this just the press taking a piss? Xabi to Chelski? Does he have no shame? Hasn't anyone explained that he is to wait for the Christmas present Liverpool are sure to present him with? Or am I the one losing it? (after all, I didn't pick my moniker, it picked me.)
Well, clearly FSG had no interest in Alonso for whatever reason. I hope against hope they are putting some energy into manager alternatives because we are in bad shape now.
He'll have next season with a relatively reduced workload - they won't be involved in Europe at all I believe. As we saw with MU this year, that can be a huge advantage.
There are a few head scratchers with this appointment. Firstly, Alonso has made it clear that he only wants to go to a club where he can have huge (complete?) input on transfers. Chelsea do not use that model. Secondly, this is the second time he either has been passed over or took himself out of the running for the Liverpool job. Thirdly, one of his reasons for staying that extra season at Leverkusen and then going to Real was CL football. Highly unlikely that’ll happen this year for him. Of course a lot of these conundrums would be solved if we now take it as read that Anfield doesn’t rate him, not then, not now and sees/saw Slot as the better option then and now and have someone better in mind when/if Slot gets the boot.
Possibly the most corrupt VAR decision of the season today in the Manure game. The weird part is VAR told the ref to go look at the camera because it was such an obvious handball. Instead, the ref gives the goal like he originally gave it. It's possibly one of the craziest goals allowed of the season. it's like the US Supreme Court was deciding the goal
I'm not paying any attention - and I know this is nuts - but I'm gonna guess who he gave the goal to ...... edit: must be REALLY bad, even MU fans are laughing at the decision.
CP ahead of Brentford at the moment - 2-1. and Leeds and Brighton - 0-0. would be massive results for us - Brentford will have less to play for (maybe they are still in the mix for Europe) - and of course would knock Brighton out if CL. still a long way to go.
