I would be so so angry if we kept Slot, only until October and Chelsea hired Xabi. We cannot stand still this summer.

 

Surely Alonso is smarter than that. Chelsea is a tinpot shit-show.

 

Mad at the club, or Xabi, or both?

 

Xabi to Chelsea is so "WTF" it may just have some truth in it.

Hope he doesn't go there - the club is crap from top to bottom.

 

Club. There are several candidates who I believe can get us playing better. Of them all, Xabi is my fave.

Xabi has the right to decide what’s best for him given the options on the table. An inevitable buy-out can be considered best for him

 

New nightmare scenario - Slot stays, we're still shite next season, Slot is sacked and Xabi is at Chelsea.

 

If he goes there, he’s an even bigger fool than the decision to go to Real Madrid would’ve implied.

 

Maybe the 3 year excellent success at BL has affected his ego / judgment.

RM is a difficult "no" for all Latino players/managers. So I'll give him that strike, but consciously joining that London shitshow would show a deplorable lack of common sense.

 

Who knows with Alonso? Reportedly he was Liverpools first choice to replace Klopp but decided to remain in Germany rather than join us.
So perhaps he's not all that enamored with the idea of coming to Liverpool.

 

Yeah that's it. Like with all transfer-type situations fans invest emotionally in a target and project onto them our own wishes .... with no idea if the target has ever had the slightest intention of coming to us.

Then of course the club gets blamed for not doing enough

On one level we're all mad.

 

While I would love Xabi, as he is one of my favorite ever Red, I’d only blame the club if we make no changes. There are a few managers who would improve us - Xabi or otherwise.

 

Problem is there are too many fans who blame the club for any damn thing that happens which they don't like.
