not sure if this got posted previously. if you have any doubt about the extent of MU's sense of entitlement, or the media's constant stoking of it .... read this from preseason: https://www.espn.com.sg/soccer/stor...rims-first-11-games-manchester-united-manager
only missed it by....THAT much.... prediction: ManU 7-3-1 in Amorim's first 11 games in charge Actual results: 4-1-6 - a 2-3 win at City the highlight Poor, poor, ManU
Manchester United got £5.5m for reaching the Europa League final. Manchester United had to pay Chelsea FC £3.5m because, as per the terms of the transfer, former Chelsea player, Mason Mount reached the Europa League final. The curse of Sir Jim Big Bollocks is really a thing, huh?
In that bizarro time we also thought that playing Emile heskey ahead of Patriok berger, Robbie Fowler and Jari Litmanen was a not-zany idea.....
i'm perpetually surprised that some crazed United fans hasn't considered un-glazing those dirtied windows that they are forced to peer from out of their club from .....
yeah but talking about - in detail ! - how they were gonna perform (really really well, of course!) in future games
Berger had knee problems IIRC. I didn't understand not playing Litmanen and Fowler more. During one match back then, when the Liverpool website was free and had audio of every match called by Steven Hunter, I would listen to the matches while commenting in the LFC chat room. One match I typed in " for the love of all that is holy play Jari Litmanen!" and Hunter read it on the air. Fortunately, that was not my proverbial 15 minutes of fame.
I was just reading online that the water Arteta is holding is where the January money for a forward went.
another highly-pleasing "let's all roll our eyes at the ridiculous MU shitwhow" aricle. sums it all up succinctly, and we're seeing more of these nowadays than the usual "glorious MU" shit - though that will reappear in a flash if they actually (a) sign a name player or (b) appoint a new manager. https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...gent-dilemma-ditch-amorim-or-revamp-the-squad
Berger running on one knee would still have been better than Heskey (or Danny Murphy or John Arne Riise as attacking wingers ) running around on three knees .....
There's a great German word that should be used here. Scott McTominay probably manures best player last season was unwanted and sent away to Napoli. He's just scored one hell of a goal to help Napoli jump into first place on the last day of the season.
generally have no interest in Serie A but I really want Napoli to win it to piss off the Mancs even more.
Hmmmmm…what an interesting club. Forest have denied Gary Neville entry to their stadium on Sunday for the match with Chelsea. Neville was meant to be the Sky Sports co-commentator. I hate shit like this. I know Gary Neville is far from acceptable in this parish, but when I’m made Lord Lumpy of the Universe, I’d say to Forest either Sky (and Neville) covers the game as they see fit or they don’t cover the game at all. Sky, snivelingly, have acceded to Marinakis’ edict and the game will be covered without Neville.
Wife and I were sitting at the bar watching this - felt strangely pleased for McTom despite his Manc connection.
