Gordon would be a decent bench option but NU would want too much and I doubt he'd take that role on. if we could get over those 2 hurdles yeah I'd have him. but the one I wouldn't touch is Caicedo. Joelinton wasn't playing yesterday as Caicedo said "No worries, I'll take on the job of committing dozens of fouls that the ref ignores!" what a nasty snide little bastard. yes he's got a good engine blah blah blah but take his fouls away and he's shit. refs need to lay down an early yellow but he gets away with murder.

Sunderland defeat Coventry City in the most dramatic of fashions with a headed goal in added time in the second half of ET. Coventry were the better side for much of the match. The Stadium of Light is bedlam.
Wish I had screenshotted it, but saw a really delicious Arsenal whine on FB yesterday. Unless Liverpool can beat the points total and goal difference of last season’s second place Arsenal, then they’re not really true champions. Glorious.
I think we should collectively just come to our senses and give the trophy to Arsenal, the best team in the competition. It's only right.
Their complaint is obviously ridiculous but a large part of it is that they were due. They had paid their dues over the past two seasons, fought the good fight with City, came up short but had, in essence, served their apprenticeship. So when or if City faltered (or even if they didn’t) it was their right to succeed to the title. There was an excellent chance, in their deluded minds, that this season was going to be the same as the last two, a two horse race and they’d beat a full strength, fully firing City. So it was ordained in the stars that as City wobbled, so would they ascend the throne. Because Liverpool did (and not them), it’s all manner of not fair, not waiting your turn, improper and so on. Liverpool are little more than interlopers, stealing their title. And it’s so much fun.
I really REALLY want Spurs to beat MU in the Europa Final. but in the past couple of days they've lost Maddison, Bergval and now Kulusevski to injury. damn.
Real Madrid are set to sign Bournemouth centre-back Dean Huijsen after agreeing to pay the defender's £50m release clause. The Spain international, 20, is close to agreeing personal terms with the La Liga club, turning down a number of offers to remain in England.
Juventus are the real boneheads in all this after selling him for 12m with no sell-on clause or buyback.
Is Madrid interested in Konate? Ive not seen it mentioned anywhere other than Liverpool fans assuming PSG/Madrid want him.
What I really don;t get is why Arsenal (3rd) played a 2nd leg away against a team (Madrid) who didn't even get into the automatic 8 first qualifiers.... Even Barcelona had a 2nd leg away (v Inter) so- were we the only team guaranteed home 2nd leg all the way through, had we continued?
That would make alot more sense. Folks need to stop assuming the worst b/c a player is in the last year of his contract. Negotiation.
There were reports of both. But Real has already made it known that this a method they will be pursuing - so it's not illogical to be concerned especially since we have offered him new terms last year.
