Daaaaamn that's brutal. That's exactly what it looked like. He immediately grabbed for the knee. I'm no doctor but very obvious it wasn't just some muscle strain or whatever.
I could not give the slightest fart about that. not the slightest. how many ppl felt sorry for us when Pickford ruined Virgil and the Pigeon half-killed Thiago. screw 'em all.
yes, that is a possibility maybe if there are leaks from the ‘trial’ of the 115 charges and it looks bad for ManCity… players might be hesitant to join a sinking team… maybe ( i personally have no faith in MC being punished in any serious sense )
now Arteta's claiming his players weren't actually timewasting - they are injured! how will we know that? he's gonna play some different players tomorrow night in the - gasp! - League Cup against - double gasp! - Bolton!!! what a piece of shit .... Speaking ahead of Arsenal’s League Cup tie with Bolton Wanderers on Wednesday night, Arteta also hinted that some of his players had picked up injuries as a result of City’s physical play in the game. “Let’s see who is available tomorrow and then we can talk about dark arts. Unfortunately there will be a few players not available... If a player is feigning something then that means he will carry on and he will play. Tomorrow you will find out [who is injured].” https://www.independent.co.uk/sport...senal-manchester-city-dark-arts-b2617946.html
He's a loathsome manager and has turned Arsenal into a despicable team. I like them as a club overall - and even liked them his first year there before he implemented full shithouse tactics. the part that always gets me Is how many Arsenal fans are fully behind these tactics and praise him to high heaven for being a brilliant coach. Clearly, he is a good coach, having studied diligently Pep - But then again, he's spent 700m pounds - So he should be doing well. (I know I know see Man U).
KdB misses time every season with a plethora of injuries and is always in/out of the side, but it's never major. Haaland missed a few games. But they haven't lost him like this...
Arsenal and in particular their fan base lost me the last few years of Wenger’s stay. I was a big fan of Bergkamp and therefore enjoyed watching Arsenal for awhile
I found a fair amount to dislike about "Arsene I didn't see that foul committed by my player Wenger", but in his last couple of years there the Arsenal fans treated him with a lot of disrespect given what he'd accomplished with them.
I don't see much of a reason to hate Arsenal. Arteta doesn't seem much more annoying than many other managers to me. If Klopp were restoring Chelsea to glory over the next 7 years, we'd find his antics and media statements really grating as well. Just a matter of which side you're on. Most top managers have this kind of stuff in them.
100% It’s all part of tribalism but you can’t deny that a player/manager/team makes you feel a certain way even when you acknowledge you’re not being objective. I can see why Arteta and this Arsenal team makes folks dislike them - me included but that’s more about a couple Arsenal fans I know.
Some managers I don't mind like Frank , Nuno and Emery, even Ange is okay but most I'm just indifferent to and couldn't care less. However , I think Arteta is a smarmy c*nt . Never liked Neil Warnock , Alladyce and Mourinho either.
Funny how that works - I honestly don't know these manager's (and/or players) at all - other than what I've seen on TV, but just don't like them, due to the teams they manage/play for, their looks, or their "style"... Arteta and Mourinho top my list...(of managers) - who I don't like... I'm OK with Frank, Nuno, even Potter (although I can't believe he left B&HA to go to Chel$ki) Indifferent to most of the rest of them...
Did we like Arsene? Was he not incredibly petulant and snippy? I don't know what the metric is here... I'm not saying I love all these managers at top clubs competing against LFC, I'm just saying seems kind of like part of the job. Just ask United, City, and Arsenal fans how they feel about Klopp's media persona.
Arsenal under Arteta play with a sense of unearned entitlement and shithousery normally seen in the later stages of a Mexico loss. Gabriel is obnoxious, like if Pickford played center back. Their players piss away time and fake injuries worse than Newcastle, and Arteta carries himself like a cheap facsimile of Pep crossed with Jose-like someone that read the Wikipedia article about a subject and then spent every dinner party the rest of the year holding court on the virtues of deontology or something similar. I would literally rather see City win 10 league titles in a row than see this Arsenal vintage be rewarded with any sort of trophy. I’d rather United win the league than suffer Arteta’s smug sense of self-satisfaction lifting the title. Say what you will about Wenger and his convenient sneezing during pivotal officiating decisions; his teams played with an ethos that didn’t involve some sort of awful Atletico/Jose-at-Inter hybrid.
I think that's probably a fairly good assessment. My guess is that all of these people are probably fairly charismatic in person. You'd probably like them if you spent time in their company. But I do agree that some appear willing to do or say just about anything if they think it will get them ahead. Others, just as charismatic, don't (or they are much more intelligent about how they do these things, so the behavior doesn't seem as egregious).
Wow. I don't pick up on any of that from Arsenal at all. Possible I'm just not watching close enough. City are literal cheaters... I can't imagine taking that stance of preferring their disgusting behavior be rewarded with success over Arsenal. Annoying or not at least they are a proper club. City are a pathetic plaything of a gross regime. I'm literally the exact opposite, rather see Arsenal win 3 trebles in a row than City win one more trophy.
I think the difference is on and off the pitch. Off the pitch, City are detestable. On the pitch, they play the game. Exact opposite for Arsenal-on the field they are the absolute worst.
