They had no injuries last year and had every ref call go in their favor. This is the first time in probably 2 years where they have faced some adversity - but the only long term injury is Odegaard (ok one hell of a player) - but it's not like they are missing their entire team as Arteta and the media will have you believe. They also have 3 red cards all of their own doing - so that's not really anyone else's problem but theirs.
Damn!!! Spurs with the full comeback against Villa!! down 1-0. Up 3-1 now. I'll take it as Villa is a top 4 candidate.
Villa definitely suffering from playing 3 competitions (2 now, back to 3 in January) simultaneously. It was more under Rafa that we had a problem with CL in midweek, PL at the weekend, but Villa do seem to have a problem with the Tues/Wed then weekend schedule.
4-1 now I switched to the stream just as Maddison knocked in a v good FK Emery looks like he's about to puke.
My other English team, Harrogate Town, is up 1-0 on Wrexham in the FA Cup. They're only ever on TV during the Cup, do it's nice to see them once in a while. I miss living in Yorkshire sometimes.
United score a pen against Chelsea. It's a pen that really should not be given, IMO... but attackers often have gotten these kinds of calls, you take a touch to go around a keeper and at that point any contact on the attacker causes them to flop over. And refs give them, as this one just did. Ideally, it's just a call that should not be in the game for me -- Hojlund got touched on the ankle by keeper's hand but went down like he took a 12 gauge slug in the back. Utterly embarrassing.
115M, perhaps not... not sure any CM/DM is worth that. But yeah he's a very good midfielder. Is Mac Allister, Caicedo, Curtis Jones a better mid than what Liverpool currently have? Seems like it wasn't that far from happening. Wouldn't have Grav or Szobo in this scenario, probably.
£115 million is definitely a mad fee. For whomever. But for the job he’s meant to be doing, he’s good. A Makelele or Kanté type of fit. One of the reasons why Palmer is thriving is Caicedo and, to an extent, Lavia.
and they won - congrats Fanatic! and next up is Gainsborough - the lowest-ranked team left in the competition. maybe we'll see Harrowgate at Anfield in a month or two?
I used to live in North Wales, and my wife loves Ryan Reynolds, so we're on the Wrexham bandwagon, and from the both of us DAMM YOU and Harrogate, you ruined our Sunday morning fry up!!!
