Apparently they claim racism is the only reason vinicius didn't win. Disregarding the fact he has been part of a Brazil team that has been the worst in history while Rodri has been vital to Spain winning the Euro

If you ranked the top 3 players at each position, he'd be further ahead of the #2 DM than any other #1 player is ahead of his competition.
That makes him the best in the world.

And he also happens to win a shedload of trophies.

Not sure about the racism claims but I’ve got agree with this. While I’ve never been understood the [recent] obsession with the Ballon d’Or (it’s a team game after all), he’s got to be the best player in the world right now.

Amorim it is for United. It’ll be interesting to see how he does, because according to the rumors at the time, he was very close to taking over from Klopp. He did seem to get ahead of himself at the time and did make a series of PR gaffes which definitely would have soured Anfield.

He is one of up and coming coaches in the game and he just might be the first or second decent appointment since Ferguson’s exit. I have thought that Van Gaal might have been the best appointment but he seems to have come undone with Old Trafford politics primarily.

all mockery aside - or maybe not really - the dumpster fire at OT makes managing them the most difficult job in the game right now. the list of problems is huge and affects every aspect of a football club - on and off the pitch, virtually nothing is working.

I know next to zero about him, like most ppl I'd never heard of him before this summer. but my guess is he'll ride in on a cloud, will do well to begin, their fans and the media will react by launching the usual orgy of giddiness ..... and it'll go south from there. their squad is like that "elephant being a horse built by committee" thing. there's no rhyme or reason to it.

oh well - never mind, eh? :)

just on a point of order. A democratic socialist wouldn't hold the same views as a communist like, say Trotsky (he, as Communists go - not such a bad one IMO, but just like Fascists, communists wouldn;t ever have power for very long if people were allowed to speak out against them without fear of life or limb)
and as such it is quite reasonable to think of a (democratic) socialist having 10Million in the bank, if he had made 15 or 16 million, and so on

    My top tax bracket for people making over 3M a year would be 50% over 5M 60% - over 10M 65% over 20M 70%
over 1M 50% on everythign over the 500K threshold -
nice bracketed rates for those below 200K

Flat Corporate Tax rate on profits above 20M dollars of 33.33%

There - I've just solved America for free...... ;)

By what stretch of the imagination is he a better player than Kevin De Bruyne?

it had one advantage over Anfield... it'll be a damn sight easier to get the heck out of there after a night game in Europe ...

oh wait - Everton don't play big night games in Europe!!

Newcastle 1-0 Arsenal. If Forest win, they’ll leapfrog Arsenal into 3rd. Luckily for Arsenal, ten Hag is finally available.
