I want Uruguay to win because we can eliminate them in our next game by defeating them in Quito, which we should be able to do. Secondly, it buries Colombia a little bit to where the most they can do is tie us if we beat Uruguay - and they would be hurting their goal differential. For instance, if Uruguay beats Colombia 3-0, there is no way Colombia is catching us in goal differential - so if we beat Uruguay in our next game, then two teams essentially can not catch us.
straight red to a uruguayan defender... the colombian embellished the foul, but it was the same type of tackle that got the US a few red cards at the confederations cup... so im not surprised to see the red for that tackle
Repped. A uruguay win by a good margin would basically put us in the driver seat again.. And would give us a tiny bit of breathing space per say. For example if we choke and only tie Uruguay at home we rack up 24 points which would leave us ahead of colombia and uruguay for that 5th spot. Of course that would also mean being obligated to win in chile.
could we theoretically seal a top 5 spot next month if uruguay loses, colombia loses, and venezuela ties?
Colombia lost... great for us porque ya estan practicamente eliminados! Although Uruguay is looking dangerous in the air! Now Ecuador can safely move in and try and beat Uruguay at home in Quito.
That's why It's crucial for Chle to lose tonight that way they'll go play hard in Colombia next match.
yeah we need Chile to lose tonight, but more importantly, Argentina must lose...and preferably by 2 goals or more.
Don't understimate Chile, they have showned a few times already that they are a dangerous away team, and if they lose tonight, I'm sure that they won't want to wait for the last game against us in Santiago to celebrate, they will go to colombia with the idea to seal the deal.
Damn now that is a golazo!!!! so many good touches and a great finish!!! So is this maradona's last game???
Wow Colombia loses, Argentina seems to be going that way, WE WON!, man If Brasil wins and Peru pulls a W from Venezuela, man That's it, I'm not going to work tomorrow and getting trashed tonight. lol
What a beauty! Nilmar is the man ... and Danny Alves is playing like a god, what passes! El Emperador almost scored a nice goal.
