That was back when Löw thought Boateng at RB was a good idea, then Hummels had that injury for the Algeria game and was taking out of the Brazil game at halftime for precautionary reasons. Once the Boateng-Hummels partnership proved to be an absolute rock, Boateng was penned in as a CB.
A robbery indeed, that should have counted as a good goal for Ecuador. And an absolute howler by the Brazilian keeper.
Spain are the new France... http://www.marca.com/en/football/national-teams/2016/06/10/575ac480ca4741b4688b4581.html
lets be honest, this group stage is about as interesting as talking about the financial market in greenland. only 8 of 24 teams dont make it.
France looks honestly a bit ordinary. Deschamps needs to take out Giroud and put in Martial; you have a more mobile and dynamic front three with Martial. I know he likes the old-fashioned 9, but Giroud's a class below France's attackers on the bench.
I think a sort of half-9 like Martial works better with that front three than Coman. Coman's skillset is kind of redundant with Griezmann and unless you have massive space on the break to work with, I think Martial makes more sense.
France basically won today from a goal keeper error and a wonder goal. Lots of question marks hanging over their side. The entire defense, and Giroud are not good enough for this level.
