Always assume the worst. That way you will never be disappointed in life, only occasionally pleasantly surprised.
I already apologized for my poor English. I was trying to analogize Quakes the club to Chivas USA the club. - - - edit - - - - Oops, just saw your subsequent post.
The RSL - LAFC game was very much like ours. Two very early goals for LAFC, one in the 3rd minute, and this time 2 by Son. RSL scores one to make it sort of a game but Son gets another, and then a breakaway goal by Bouanga near the end. I don't know if there were more Koreans at the game but they kept showing the same couple with the Korean flag every time Son scored. I guess the Korean population there is not exactly what it is here.
According to FotMob, Son got a hat trick, the last goal assisted by Bouanga. Will Son and Bouanga be taking turns getting hat tricks for the rest of the season? Oh my.
The USL's Miami FC announced today its future plans to be a part of Sports Performance Hub’s 80-acre, $300 million dollar development project that will encompass a professional training academy, youth boarding school, public sports and recreation facilities, a sports-themed hotel, and a 15,000-seat stadium. It looks a little like PayPal Park only without the waterfront.... Homestead, FL, eh, “Gateway To The Everglades”? Are there gators in the water? Falvo *you* can fish the soccer balls out of there. I’m out .
I believe that's Biscayne Bay. From Google: While alligators primarily inhabit freshwater, they are known to enter Biscayne Bay, a brackish (partially salty) environment, to feed or move between habitats. They can tolerate salt water for limited periods but do not possess the specialized salt-secreting glands that allow crocodiles to thrive in marine environments. Therefore, you may find alligators in Biscayne Bay, but they are not native to its salty conditions and are more commonly found in the adjacent freshwater marshes and rivers. So yeah, they may pass through "to feed" (especially on Miami soccer fans).
They could always import some saltwater crocodiles from Australia... But in any case the crocs are not too far away... they are famously all over the canals of the nearby nuclear power plant that is right next to Biscayne Bay. Edit: Turkey Point
You can never have too many gators. We went on a "swamp tour" in Louisiana one time and of course everyone wanted to see a gator. But it was February and they said they were "semi-hibernating". At one point they pointed one out but I suspect it was fake. It was completely motionless and they didn't make any attempt to get closer. They then opened up a container and showed off a baby gator - I guess to make sure everyone got some kind of gator fix and they got tips.
Watching San Diego at Atlanta right now. Pellegrino started and he looks OK. He’s playing like a center forward. Doing OK. Go Quakesfans!!
Designer clutches, grocery bags: Soccer's toiletry bag obsession Interesting read. Bouda is also interviewed.
It's a purse, let's be honest. I would just wear a small backpack. I guess fanny packs are totally uncool now and would elicit much ridicule. No, you gotta be holding something. Can't be different!!
Liverpool’s (other) new star striker, Hugo Ekitike, pulled an MPG in Liverpool’s 2-1 EFL Cup victory over Southampton on Tuesday. After already being shown a yellow card earlier in the half, he took his jersey off after scoring what turned out to be the game winning goal in the 85th minute, earning a red card. Needless to say, manager Arne Slot was not happy.
