Weah assist to McKennie's side volley. That must be the first American assist and goal in the Champions League ever!
I’m surprised SI is still in business. Who reads it? We’re years away from the days people subscribed to the print copy.
SI has passed through a few shady companies since Time Inc. sold it off. It's owned by a branding company now and not much worth reading. The company licenses the brand to non-media businesses, one of which is Sports Illustrated Tickets, a startup ticketing company competing with the likes of Ticketmaster and SeatGeek. SI Tickets is the entity that is actually sponsoring the stadium, as well as taking over the ticketing operations there.
I’ll There of course there's the Sports Ilustrated swimsuit issue...I suppose the most recognizable aspect of their brand at this point.

What!!?? We should do everything we can to sign him. Crap, just read that New England acquired him. :-( I’d take him over Vazquez.

Inter Miami did NOT in fact "let go" of Leo Campana... they traded Campana to the Revs for $2 million in allocation money which is very different from letting a player go BREAKING: The New England Revolution have acquired Leo Campana from Inter Miami for $2m GAM. pic.twitter.com/RF7KGQDJsn— Tom Bogert (@tombogert) December 19, 2024
I copied and pasted the post from Reddit... Either way you look at it, Miami did in fact let Campana get away and the reason was or is because either Neymar or some other overaged, big name superstar will be signed soon... Miami just got a whole lot better and faster: https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/inter-miami-sign-forward-fafa-picault
Don't really know Fafà Picault other than when he was playing for Cagliari's primavera youth team but never followed him when he came over to the NASL and MLS. At 34 years of age, will he really be that good?
