Forward Madison FC Clinches Historic Playoff Win, Advances Closer to USL League One Title Lovely home game - about 46 degrees when the final whistle blew. Next week another home playoff game, quarter-final against the Spokane Velocity. Meanwhile, unless I'm mistaken the Quakes last home playoff game was a 2010 loss against NYRB. If you want a playoff win you have to go all the way back - 21 years ago - to 2003. How sad... BTW - I love the new alternate kit:
Inter Miami vs Atlanta United: Messi scoreless,Crowd of 68,455 goes wild as Atlanta United upsets Inter Miami 2-1, forces playoff Game 3
Atlanta plays Miami pretty tough, even after they dumped their 3 best players and Lennon is out injured. If Atlanta goes up in the rubber match, watch for some shitting of bricks at MLS Headquarters™ in NY, and some panicked and pointed messages relayed into the ref booth in Miami. They simply cannot allow Miami to go out in the 1st round. Big, big loss of $$$$.
YES!!! With Houston Dynamo FC having just got knocked out of the playoffs, I now need the Los Angeles Galaxy to also not reach the final so that I can be guaranteed to be able to watch this year’s MLS Cup final on Saturday, December 7th. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
Friday: Marcelo was about to sub in when Fluminense’s head coach pushed him back toward the bench Saturday: Marcelo terminates his contract with the club Real Madrid Legend Marcelo Has Contract With Fluminense Terminated After Bust-Up With Head Coach
That is so insane. I’ll have to watch that game and see what led to such crazy behavior. Houston had another player sent off in the prior game as well… Seems really weird…
I hope one of those teams - VC or Atlanta can knock off the high seeds on the road. There will be much angst at MLS Central.
Héctor Herrera spitting at the ref in the Houston Dynamo game can lead to a lengthy suspension and fine. I can’t ever recall seeing such an incident in an MLS match.
Mutual consent because the club and the coach wanted him out. Fluminense defender Marcelo leaves by mutual agreement | Reuters
Yeah, obviously, but, you only said Marcelo "terminates his contract with the club", as if he did it on his own.
I seriously doubt it was his idea. The reasons for the 36-year-old former Real Madrid full back's departure were not disclosed.
I initially posted a quote and then reposted why he left. Go back and read it... I'm sure when a player leaves the club abruptly, he isn't doing it by mutual consent and ultimately, he was kicked off the team and that is more than obvious. Here are other related articles.
