As luck would have it, I must have missed those games as I attend Saturday evening mass on a weekly basis. From what I heard from some of his former youth coaches, I didn't miss that much though....
Yes, sometimes as I’m involved with the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Jose and volunteer my time. I attend masses given in Italian, Spanish and Portuguese in Santa Clara near the university or at Five Wounds on Santa Clara Street.
On the whole (even being dragged down by our current one) MLS probably has better crests than any other soccer league out there lol
Yes, I used to but not as much anymore. I did get baptized there. My relatives donated one of the stain glass windows at Sacred Heart. Never really go to St. Patrick’s but attend St Lucy's and am involved with he ICF at St. Martins behind Valley Fair. Back to the thread.... Minnesota blew a great chance with a killer shot from outside the goal box that the RSL GK saved.... It's looking like PK's for RSL & the Loons....
That's soccer. From the stats it looks even, but I didn't see the game. Looks like Columbus had the same problem against NYRB. Dominated the game but couldn't get the ball in the net. Both RSL and Columbus are in some trouble now. They have to win away or they're out. And such is the crap shooty nature of the playoffs. NYRB is not bad but no way are they better than Columbus. As for RSL and Minnesota, Minnesota's been playing really well. They kicked our butts last time they came to PPP. That game wasn't even really close. Surprised me.
Well, if Columbus goes out early, that should certainly pave the way for Miami. As far as conspiracies, i do find it suspicious that some of the worst referees are working these playoff games so far.
There are other teams that could beat Miami if they have either a great or lucky game, especially when the matchups go to one-game playoffs. LAG, LAFC, Cincinnati, Orlando, etc.
Hoping this isn't accurate given the questionable sources, but I don't get this if true... Montreal deserves a team and so does Detroit, just expand (and/or force Saputo to sell) rather than tearing away a team from a city that should get to keep D1 soccer (same as San Jose and Columbus). Quebec journalist claims - "It's over for CF Montreal: the move to Detroit announced by Jean-Charles Lajoie" Eric Wynalda says an Eastern Conference team is considering moving cities.
Brutal. Horrible if true. Rough being a fan of any team (not named Yankees or cowboys) in the States. Business over tradition/history anytime the owner gets the itch.

Thought I’d post this to get falvo’s comments. Don’t know if this link will work for y’all. The Athletic wrote about how corrupt and criminal is Evangelos Marinakis, the owner of Nottingham Forrest and Olympiacos. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/58...ch-fixing-threats/?source=user_shared_article Marinakis’ defamation case: Defendant alleges match-fixing, vendettas and threats to family
Very exciting ending to ATL vs MIA. Dax McCarty gets another game before retiring. I only saw the stoppage time, so did they mention this during the game: that Arthur Blank opened the 3rd tier of the stadium and offered tickets to 5,000 supporters.
I guess I’m just jealous. Just watched the Atlanta Miami match and now watching Minnesota versus Salt Lake. Looks like every fan is in their seat. Envious that paypal park is not hosting a playoff game with a sold out crowd with everyone in their seat and not hanging out on the lawn/Lobina.
When you think about it, Arthur Blank probably gets 10x the number of fans in his stadium as we do at PPP.
