Dont you do the same thing to others? Dont be a contradiction. Amd for the record i get scolded all the time. Or wahh wahh as jazzy used to say.
This would be a good time for you to back off. But you just can’t help yourself, even though you expressly agreed to desist. Maybe your protector will scold you publicly like she does me. Maybe she won’t. This will be a good test. @TyffaneeSue
To be clear, I am scolding both of you. You are both adults and shouldn't be arguing like petulant kids on a public board, especially not under your real names. I encourage you both to take a time out, go for a walk or pickleball game or whatever, and think about why you're doing this, whether it truly serves your needs, and whether you can channel that hostility to better purpose.
@Quakes05 asked me politely and I agreed, provided you stopped being condescending. But you can’t help yourself either. You should recuse, or become an MLS ref. You’re hopelessly biased.
They're so mad they found a place tbey domt have a legion of ass kissers towards them because of status. #MessiComplex
Speaking of suspensions, I wondered what ever happened to Darwin Núñez after he went into the stands and starting fighting people at Copa America. Apparently it was a 5-game intl suspension.
Looks as though he's playing for Liverpool, and I'm sure Uruguay has other options. Does suspension mean anything other than "he's off the roster for x games?"
No I don't think so, and yeah it has no effect on Liverpool. But he'll miss some WC qualifiers for Uruguay.
Correct, he's just banned from International Competition. If they were smart, they could have log jammed the schedule with a bunch of meaningless friendlies and played scrubs and it would count.
Or xbakharx, I said Dr because there was a guest character on a show from the 00s who was Dr Bakshar and he just popped in my mind lol
Yeah, I thought it was pretty egregious, going up into the stands and throwing punches(!), but when they say they were trying to "protect family" it muddies the water. Seems like a reasonable compromise, though w/o knowing the details of what really happened, hard to say.
They actually have 2 WC qualifiers next week against Peru & Ecuador(gruezo). Crazy for some reason gruezo plays quite often for his NT, although I've read more than once horrible comments from Ecuador fans about him. He's not liked by his own people much.
Unfortunately typical South America security. Things get extremely heated when NTs play each other and although it's a known fact things always happen. Sad all around.
He's obviously surrounded by better talent in the NT so his deficiencies are not so obvious as much and it is with us. He's just a clog for them as is not expected to do much. With us because of our budget and what he's getting paid obviously makes him one of our focal points ... He's not that kind of player, unfortunately Luchi & leitch thought otherwise.
Dax would trade his shields for MLS Cup rings... To the players MLS Cup means more Up until 2020, the Shield winner played every team in the league. That isn’t the case anymore which unfortunately devalues the Shield. Best/most consistent team usually wins it and that’s a fact. HOWEVER, I would trade both my Shields for a Cup and a ring bc playoffs and ‘Merica https://t.co/o4TzDI61KT— Dax McCarty (@DaxMcCarty11) October 4, 2024
....bc playoffs and ‘Merica. (Dax's words.) First comment......Maybe it’s different if you grew up elsewhere. I understand, again in the States it's all about making the playoffs. Doesn't really happen anywhere else in the world. Playoffs are a money grab to extend games. Rarely does a team that barely make the playoffs win a championship though.
Yeah, I find the logic for MLS Cup to be circular. It's the thing that we care about because it's the thing that people care about. What if the league said - hey, we're gonna put stars on shirts for SS instead of the MLS Cup end-of-year tournament, and we consider SS the champion of the league and MLS Cup winner is the winner of the nice little MLS Cup end-of-year tournament? Done! Of course the league wants MLS Cup to be the thing because it brings the $ and also "playoffs" emulates other American sports. I have to say though that MLS Cup has become less "crap shootie" over the years as the highest seed (SS winner) gets to play all the games at home and there are other advantages for higher seeds. I think in the 1st round there's a 3-game series and 2 are played at the home of the higher seed? Not sure, but I thought I read that.
