Mohamed Farsi is one of my favorite MLS players to watch. Former Canadian futsal player of the year. Reminds me of DeRo a bit. He just played a brilliant pass to Rossi for another goal.
I'd rather not see Toluca. They beat us in 1998 at Spartan Stadium with guest players Cobi Jones and others joined us. Joe Cannon made his Clash debut against Toluca
Oh you're right, we'd host if it's either CO or Toluca. Seeding is based on MLS 2023 standings and something about Liga MX - not sure which teams get hosting privileges and why but ThreeApples says that Toluca does not have hosting privileges.
Pisses me off that after we tied the game 1-1, our "chance for winning" went from like 8% to 11% or something. Really??
Yeah, something like. I mean they turned out to be right, but at 1-1 I thought we had a decent chance and in fact we were controlling the game after our goal until that dumb soft PK.

Cobi Jones Clash Jersey from the Toluca is up for sale. Cobi is selling it with other gear. Its 300. He sold a Doyle, Wynalda, Donovan, Wondo 4 pack Nats jerseys game used for 5000.
I'm not sure how to get a link to a private facebook group unless your in it. But the groups American Game Used Soccer. He's selling them through a 3rd party currier/friend. And yes, Cobi Jones played for the Clash for 1 game. We've also had Jim St Andre, Chris Henderson, Adrian Paz, Cle Kooiman, Bern Schuster, Abel Resino, Welton, Preki, Peter Vermes and a bunch of other guys have been guest players for the Clash. Joe Cannon was a guest player for us against Toluca and thats how he got a job for the Clash. He filled in for David Kramer who was hurt. It also meant the end for Andy Kirk.

Bernd Schuster played for the Quakes too? Wow, he was a superstar from 1980-1993… I’m betting the Peter Bridgwater offered him low ball contract.
I'm not counting on the Quakes winning another MLS championship in my lifetime. If it happens, great, but I don't think it will happen. Hopefully they'll win some other tournament though.
