Fucito pulled his hammie on wed night, and Quincy suffered a right shoulder contusion. So we a lil short of forwards. Maybe they should try playing JJ at forward, they seem to have tried every other spot.
http://www.socceramerica.com/articl...ng-the-eight-quarterfinals.html?edition=14117 "...To add to Mexico's misery, Giovani dos Santos, who signed with the LA Galaxy earlier in the day, left at halftime with a leg injury. The status for Sunday's match against Costa Rica is uncertain..."
When Quincy and Fucito are healthy...we're still short of forwards. (Oh wait - Sherrod to the rescue!)
Oh give the poor guy a chance to prove himself. quincy deserves a shot. He's got more potential than sherrod!
I wish our front office would take a look at Kenwyne Jones, he's probably within their price range, you know, cheap. Maybe Cato could put in a good word for us and then we could dump Sherrod and Fucito.
That was so sad. I felt really bummed afterward for Costa Rica. I really wonder (a) who made that call -AR or CR, and (b) if payola was involved. I just couldn't believe any professional would make that call, in a situation like that, when it doeS not appear to be a clear foul.
Andrea Pirlo hits the field for his first #NYCFC training session. This is cool! Already off the plan and on to the field!
This is why developing your own players and having a path to the first team via USL is important. NYRB played in the US Open Cup yesterday, so they used a combination of bench players, USL players, and academy players, against Chelsea, and still won 4-2 (and the first Chelsea goal was offside): Your stadium packed full of Eurodouchebag bandwagoners, no problem just beat Hazard/Costa/Oscar/Remy/Ivanovic with a bunch of teenagers... I wonder which team last scored four goals against Mourinho, probably Barcelona....
Mourinho talked about how bad his team played but only slightly gave NYRB a praise. I'm not sure but judging by the few times I saw them this season, they don't seem to miss Thierry Henry at all.....
