By doing nothing we are getting relatively worse. Austin FC have just completed all the documents for Emiliano Rigoni deal. Argentinian winger joins MLS side from São Paulo. 🚨🇦🇷🇺🇸 #MLSRigoni signs as Designated Player deal through 2024 with options for two additional seasons and will re-join former teammate Sebastian Driussi.— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) July 29, 2022
It’s not just Brits who are ignorant about MLS. It’s also reams and reams of American euro fanboys, and even many euro fanboys who follow MLS who nonetheless devalue it and perpetually hope that it continually further mimics a euro league

Matthew McConaughey may star in a film about a 1984 high school girls soccer team that was invited to represent the USA in some kind of womens tournament in China. Supposed to be a true story. I have never heard of such an event, but I didn’t follow soccer until WC 1999. I know you guys go way back — can any of you shed light on this? I had thought that the first US women that travelled to China were for the 1988 womens tournament in China as kind of a beta-test, and then the first official Womens World Cup in 1991. https://deadline.com/2022/07/matthe...glund-skydance-berlanti-schechter-1235081172/
Just to creep you out a bit, made me think of this quote from Dazed and Confused: “that’s what I love about high school girls….

Wait, I thought Chicago had 0 good players outside of Shakira and was incapable of ever winning a game. How can this guy be going for $15M???
They need to cover Shakira's Spanish tax bill so had to sell this guy. https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2022/07/30/shakira-prison-tax-evasion-spain/
Hah! She's in some trouble in Spain - I imagine it will get settled with some huge fine. They went after Messi too a few years ago and he wound up with a fine. Come on, you can't send Messi or Shakira to prison! That's just wrong.
After last years heartbreak in the Mens Euros.. today it is tears of joy for the Woman’s Euros [emoji2527][emoji2527][emoji2527][emoji2527][emoji2527][emoji2527][emoji2527][emoji2527][emoji2527][emoji2527][emoji2527][emoji2527][emoji2527][emoji2527][emoji2527][emoji2527][emoji2527]
The Quakes need to study the classic way the Lionesses killed off the game against GER. I only saw the last 20 mins of the game, but England’s women were clearly playing on mentality.
Today is Wayne Rooney’s MLS coaching debut vs ORL. I hope he gets beat badly!!! The game is at DCU though…
This is so great England players gatecrash Sarina Wiegman’s press conference singing “it’s coming home”😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/0MZFPTAX9p— Kathryn Batte (@KathrynBatte) July 31, 2022
Wow. If Rooney gets slightly better results for DCU and Bradley + expensive Italians get better results for TFC then the wooden spoon battle is between SKC and you know who. If Leitch doesn't make any good signings and the players all know we have a lame duck coach this could be our year (again).
I didn’t watch the last 20 mins, but apparently DCU scored 2 goals in stoppage time to get Rooney his debut win. Rats.
