From a referee and fan standpoint, this was unbelievable shithousery that should be punished immediately or it will start getting repeated a lot. Happened in the last minute of stoppage time by 10-man NE while PHI was pressing for a tying goal at home. Immediate yellow card for delaying the restart, then another second yellow for disrespecting the game (by throwing the reserve ball into the stands.) Yellow turns into red...
That last big about the suspended match between Arg and Bra was crazy. I didn't realize that - too focused on CONCACAF to worry about CONMEBOL...
Meh, horrible GK'ing, or he wouldn't have had goals. First one was a deflection that the GK muffed - tap in. Second one was right at the keeper and went thru his legs. He had plenty of time ot stop it.
But he was in the right place at the right time. The second goal showed he had sufficient speed as well.
Yeah but what I’m saying is that with a better GK he’d have had 0 goals. He’ll score his share of goals but Man U beats up on the minnows. I think *I* could score for Man U in some of their games . The real test in terms of how well he does will be the tough derby games - Man City, Chelsea, Liveepool, etc.
Giuseppe Rossi is a now the new TV pundit on Paramount. Glad to see them having former players as studio analysts as opposed to guys who know nothing about the leagues or the teams.
LAFC beat RSL tonight. Quakes play RSL Wednesday. EQ win catches RSL in the standings on points, but still behind on GD. That would also catch LAFC in points, but LAFC would then have a game in hand and GD advantage.
FWIW, our 538 playoff chances is down to a paltry 18%. So we're not quite at Dumb and Dumber "So You're Tellin' Me There's A Chance" level yet, but getting there. We've dropped by about 50% since the LA game, by losing to CO at home and then tying FCD on the road, and by watching other teams pick up points.
I've mentioned elsewhere that IMO the concussion to JE may be the nail in the coffin for playoffs. I hope i'm wrong...
It was going to be unlikely anyway. Our home record is abysmal this year - 3rd worst in the league. We need a 3-game win streak or something. I think we might have a chance if Matías would play Judson, Remedi, and Yueill together in central midfield, like he did in our dominant win against LA. Like I said weeks ago, Matías can play that central midfield or we can miss the playoffs. His choice. I think he’s pretty much made it by now.

I was just reading that LD is interviewing for the RSL coaching job. I wonder how many heads would explode here if he was brought in to replace MA
