They must have seen the Quakes creeping up on them and decided they need to do things different.

he was such a joy to watch as a youngster playing for Manchester United but that seems like ages ago.

That seems ill-advised, considering the guy had an unbeaten streak going, didn’t he?

Yeah, weird. I thought they were playing pretty tough. We had a harder time vs. them at home than we did LA in LA, and even Minnesota, playing with 10 men.

Maybe it’s the “boring soccer” / bunker and counter that someone didn’t like (though that had been VC’s trademark in previous years).

The logic from sporting director Schuster: "We are on a good run here results-wise but we could be even on a better one, maybe," he said.

In other words if you’re on an upswing, time to make a change(!) because you’re not sure, but maybe you could be on an even bigger upswing!!

Ronaldo, Marcus Rashford, Edinson, Cavani, Mason Greenwood, Jadon Sancho, Antony Martial, Daniel James.
There are going to be some Manu forwards wondering how many minutes they are going to get.

INTER MIAMI VALUED BETWEEN $600M-$650M AS MAS BROTHERS BUY OUT SON, CLAURE

So if a two year old team in Miami that actually plays in Ft. Lauderdale without an actual long term stadium in the works (other than Lockhart) is worth $650 million , what value would our Quakes be at?

If the San Jose Earthquakes own and control their own grounds , wouldn’t the 13 year old franchise (along with the stadium) potentially be worth more than Inter Miami?

I would guess that the price is inflated due to Beck’s involvement? We need someone like Steph to join our ownership group.

Beckham has a name with pull but it meant a lot more during his playing days.

I don’t know but I doubt his name as an owner jacks the value of the team up that much.

Anyway , I still retain that any team and stadium in Silicon Valley or the Bay Area will be worth more than most cities across the USA and/or Miami -Ft . Lauderdale….

The Cooligans pointed out that Ronaldo should be CR37 (yeah, even tho he is still 36)

Would help ManU sell more jerseys! Reportedly, Messi PSG jerseys sold out in 30 minutes:

“Around 832,000 copies [of Messi PSG jerseys] were sold, earning the club a total of 90 million EUR (approx. 10.56 million USD) on its first day of jersey sales. This surpasses the 520,000 Cristiano Ronaldo jerseys sold when the star moved to Juventus in 2018.”

I am sure they meant either 10 million EUR or approx. 90.56 million USD

Juve made a smart move in selling CR7 now.

He will probably be a constant goal scorer beyond age 40 but they got 23 million + 70 mil a year in salary that they are keeping.

Also, they will have never won the champions league with or without him and that was the main reason on why he was signed.

Better that they got rid of him now for a profit than in June for nothing.

Knowing the exchange rate, it looks like they left a 0 off of the dollar amount. 90 million euros, or approx. $100.5 million US dollars. ;)

well, focusing on MLS things a tad, the results have been extraordinarily kind to us this week. Think we root for Austin against FCD now, then Seattle to do the thing against Portland

Oh but I’m sort of enjoying watching Austin suffer.
I feel sorry for the fans and for Lima, but I like the thought of Precourt losing.

Austin made it more acceptable in the 2H, but what surprised me watching the game, is that it appears that Lima’s teammates do not want to pass him the ball. Maybe he will be dropped after the inaugural season. None of the former Quakes are working out there…
