So long Super League, what a stupid, money-grabbing ploy to begin with... https://deadline.com/2021/04/european-super-league-chelsea-man-city-real-madrid-man-utd-1234740517/ I feel like there’s a lesson here for Quakes fans, players, coaches, FO staff, anyone who’s cares about the San Jose Earthquakes and the growth of soccer in this country - people do have the power to push back against tyrannical owners who are purely in the game for profit and self enrichment.

The European Super League is something that I’ve heard talked about for over 30 years. This is the first time something has actually been done about it and a move was actually made. Like the Bosman Ruling and the VAR changed the game as a rule , we all know the sport is evolving. The old champions league model is just not working like it used to. We haven’t heard the last of the SL and this thing is just the beginning. Expect major changes in years to come!
I agree the VAR is horrible in many ways and its definitely changed the game. The problem is, there is no going back to playing without it now.
Wasn't that kind of already known? When I spoke to Ramiro last year, this is what he implied to me. Also that Yallop would be involved somehow.
"We made a mistake, and we apologize for it." Now why can't our front office bring themselves to say that to us?
Almeyda talked about the Super league in his press conference. He said he was glad that the whole thing fell through and that everything has gone back to normal.
Unless it's the painted seats that are deceiving , there looks to be fairly large crowd on hand in Kansas City. A lot more anyway than 3,300 fans sitting together. Nani scored on a beautiful back heel flick to tie it up! Final score KC 1 -Orlando 1!
Oh i saw a tweet of that fabulous Nani back heel, but I thought a teammate was called offside. Did VAR reverse the call or something?
Looked like more on TV. Yes the ref went to the VAR and they determined there was no offside. Looking at the replay , I didn’t see an offside on the play either. It was a great goal.
