Premier League clubs are living in a “moral vacuum” and players should be first to sacrifice salaries during the coronavirus pandemic, say politicians.

Julian Knight, the chair of the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport committee, has condemned the actions of some Premier League clubs, who have furloughed non-playing staff.

Tottenham, Newcastle and Norwich have opted to utilise the government’s job retention scheme during the pandemic.

“It sticks in the throat,” said Knight.

“This exposes the crazy economics in English football and the moral vacuum at its centre.”

 

So with the moving of the Olympics form 2020 to 2021, Fifa has raised the age limit to 24 for the men's football tournament.

What was an Under 23 tournament is now an Under-24 finals.

This coupled with 3 overage players, countries could use their regular national team players and the games could turn into a mini World Cup.

In one of those images I saw a small blurb on Tatu... hadn't thought about him in ages. I was a California Grizzlies (indoor soccer) season ticket holder before MLS was started and got to watch Preki and Dayak play against folks like Tatu (who was really fun to watch).
