Week One on the books. If the playoffs started today, we'd be in. :)

I watched most of both the Chi/Sea and InterMiami/LAFC game.

In the first game Chicago really should have come out of it with something to show, since they had the better of the game for long periods and chances to score, but, they were undone by shambolic marking of Jordan Morris, who came into the game at the break. It was almost as if Morris had borrowed Wondo's cloak of invisibility to twice elude his marker, coming in from the far post to score. And he didn't have much eluding to do on the game winner since they didn't bother to mark him at all!!

And Inter Miami looked great for a team playing it's first game, especially on the road at LAFC, but, they also squandered good chances to score, and it took a moment of magic from Vela to make the difference. LAFC has three quality attackers in Vela, Rodriguez, and Rossi, with Rodriguez being very quick and tricky with the ball at his feet. When we play LAFC he will likely eat Tommy alive if Matias chooses to start Thompson. This might be a game for Lima to start on the right and put Shea (or Lopez on the left).

Anyway, chances for two eastern teams to do us a favor, but, coming up short.

Fernandes is quality, probably the best signing they have had in awhile. Not a fan of the Red Devils, but, I will watch a United game now just to see him play.

p.s. Should I cue up the De Gea Watford gaffe as well?:D

At least we can be happy that they'e in muck along with us. However, the difference is that you know they will spend and do anything it takes to change that situation while we're happy to exist at the periphery of MLS respectability...

Not only did they lose but they look horrible. We will absolutely be fighting them for the 7 spot at the end of the year. (assuming that either of us are fighting for 7th).

Stanford game will be a hell of a game once again.

I watched the 2H of the LAG v VAN game, and I didn’t think LAG looked bad. That guy Pavon looks very good, is fast, attacking, and wants to move the ball. He’s also very handsome!

Besides,Sebastian Lletget was on @bsithepodcast this week. It sounds like Zlatan was a huge poison in the locker room and on the field, so that the galaxy players were walking on eggshells around him. His absence, even taking his goal production with him, might free up the players to perform very well once they successfully integrate Chicharito.

My guess is that the weakest spot on LAG is probably Bingham...

I watched parts of Nashville’s first 2 games. And even though they lost both, I was impressed that Anibal Godoy plays like the Godoy of the first 2 seasons with the Quakes. Plus, he looks like he has more muscle mass now.

I agree that Pavon is good. I don’t agree that Galaxy looked good. All those mindless crosses reminded me of quakes 5 years ago.

I thought Bingham is back to his best form and he saved a pk today. He had a great assist in the first game too.

Many people have said Galaxy will be better without Zlatan but that hasn’t materialized yet. He was poison but he was also really good at soccer.

I wonder if chicharito will be integrated before the Stanford game. It would be such a shame if galaxy’s big new signing doesn’t work out for them [emoji3].

After the league's incessant hyping of "The little Pee" as the second coming I'd love nothing more than his abject failure for the filth. :ROFLMAO:

Fisher is likely to outlive Blank, by a couple decades. Who knows what comes after Blank in Atlanta.

Won all 27 games you played this year? Sorry, no promotion!
Bottom half of English football pyramid is done for the year, all results expunged, and no promotion/relegation.

Have you guys seen this 5-minute PK shootout video? I guess it's been around for awhile, but I only learned about it the other day when the 11mm film fest tweeted it. It's only 5 minutes.
