Flying 1000 supporters to Mexico is a pretty amazing perk. However we don't know if that is the case. Also very impressive.
True, I can't say I'm 100% surprised they had a lot of travelers because I was kinda expecting it. Still impressed though. And it was cool to see the kind reception they got from Leon fans. I do 100% plan on taking advantage of the Quakes perk to buy away tickets this year.
At the end of the game they stood and clapped in their direction. You can see a bit of it in the twitter link I pasted a few comments above. btw - I just got 'Addicted' award (1000 posts). I do not remember making 1000 posts.
Well there was a moment when LAFC was taking a corner kick and 4 police needed to protect the kicker with shields. Apparently they were throwing stuff at him (or at least they were concerned that might happen). Soccer isn’t always peaceful [emoji20]
Don Garber's gaffe: admits the league favors large market teams. Philadelphia article assumes the Bay Area is a large market, but probably not by Garber's definition. . . . “We have, unfortunately throughout the years, had some of our smaller markets be our most popular teams,” Garber said. “And that’s great, but we’ve got to get our bigger markets — who have way more competition, and have a lot of history that they’re working through and working against — I’m looking forward to seeing them be more successful.” The use of unfortunately might have been a slip of the tongue, or a little too much honesty. It likely won’t play well in Portland, Cincinnati or Orlando, where MLS is front and center. But it will resound in Houston and the Bay Area, top-10 TV markets with teams that don’t measure up . . . https://www.inquirer.com/soccer/don-garber-mls-tv-ratings-javier-hernandez-la-galaxy-inter-miami-20200219.html?__vfz=medium=sharebar

You mean they weren't throwing beer and objects on the field, hurling insults and starting fights? Are you sure they were LA(ugh)fc "fans"?
Am I missing something? It appears that Levchenko is just providing a character witness, but was in no way involved or anywhere near the events that were supposed to have taken place. Why does this guy's opinion matter in this situation at all?

Just saw a notice that Frank Yallop will have a Q&A session at the Monterey Brittania Arms at 6:30 tonight to discuss the new professional team coming to the Monterey peninsula and play at Cal State Monterey Bay stadium. Looks like they will be an NASL team.
I have to say, I am impressed Yallop has managed to stay in pro soccer this long. Can't say I have high hopes for that team, however.
I don’t get why they went from USL Championship to NASL. That league seems far less financially stable.
