    Colorado result = very good
    Houston result = very good
    Dallas result = very bad

Lets hope Philadelphia makes the opening of their new stadium a happy occasion.

having a nice river-side stadium, makes you play better. disunion takes lead over flounders 2-1, too bad its turf.

Nice though to see Seattle soundly beaten.

    6 Seattle 15pts (+2 games played)
7 Chicago 14pts (-1 game played, playing right now)
    8-on, big falloff in points

This was a pretty good week for the Quakes, schedule speaking. If they can roughly keep up with the other 3 teams in the playoff slots they will make it as well. Houston and Seattle have big disadvantages in trying to get back into the playoff hunt because every team above them have two games in hand. Chicago has a chance of making it interesting.

No, those 4 teams all played 12. The Quakes have a game in hand over RSL.

Currently the Quakes lose the tie breaker to FC and FC, but that isn't really meaningful at this point in the season. But it's why I put them last among the teams with 18 points.

Chicago got one against the run of play in New England. Everyone, root for the Revs. The combined force of our wishes will do... absolutely nothing. But it will make us feel better temporarily.

Thanks....I thought we had one but I had the wrong team in mind. I guess we be happy our remaining game to play v Dallas is at home--Chicago too.

    From the club website:

There was sand being kicked up during the game, my guess is that the grass is not fully set, and they wanted to support it with a little sand.

the espn announcers mentioned that the grass had not fully set yet, and when it does the expect the field to play even faster than it did today....

I hope this is the right place to post Open Cup results? Or is that too off topic now that we're out?

Shocking results in the US Open Cup.

    Charleston Battery 0:0 (PKs 3 - 0) Chitcago Wet
The Battery are a USL-2 side this year. Not even a USSF D-2 team! Wow.

Harrisburg City Islanders 1:0 NYJ RedCows
Again, Harrisburg are a USL-2 side. Yeesh! Former RedCow Danny Cepero in goal for Harrisburg. Bet that felt good!

    Miami FC 0:1 DynamoeHums
    As it should be.

    Rhinos 1:2 Cowlumbus
    No surprise there.

    Austin Aztecs 0:1 GoatShaggers
Aztecs are currently top of the table in USSF D-2. If even the lowly GoatBangers can take USL's best, it doesn't look good for the other second and third division sides.

Tonight, the scum-sucking, vile, cheating, Shittle Flounders visit the lovely Rose City for what I hope will be a profound butt whupping of the first order. I'll be there drinking and cheering for my Timbers.

    GO TIMBERRRRRS!!
    GO QUAKES!!

It is fine....in fact it's a must do if there's TV or online video of the complete match available and it hasn't been 24 hours since they ended.

Alas, my Timber fell on PKs to the evil, cheating, scum-sucking, filthy, Shittle Flounders.

The Timbers out played the vile scum solidly in the second half (the first half was pretty close to even). The vile scum responded by fouling the crap out of our side. The ref of course thought that an MLS side could do no wrong, so he didn't call too much on them, except for one brutal foul that drew a second yellow card for one of the dirt bags. Should have been a PK, but alas, no luck.

In any case, regulation finished 1:1, and we went to PKs, where the scum sucking leaches won it.

    GO QUAKES!! :D

Another glorious tie. The rest of the teams in MLS are doing their best to help the Quakes out.

Normally I am opposed to balanced schedules. I'm much more interested in watching the Quakes play LA or Seattle than Columbus or New York, so they should play LA and Seattle more than Columbus or New York.

But it is a good thing that the schedule is balanced this year. The East is packed with terrible teams, and it would have given Toronto and Chicago a big advantage in the wild card race if they got to play them more than the West teams.

rofl... I'm sorry, but the Union's gold uniforms look like there are a bunch of naked guys out on the field:

It's like there are a bunch of streakers running around with numbers painted on their backs. Very, very strange looking

I still think only Chicago is a serious threat to take the Quake's spot. Houston and Seattle have been doing just as bad as the Quakes in the last two months, and the Quakes still have points and games (admittedly not many) over both of them.

Colorado and Seattle play tonight. Go NY and LA.

Yeah, they are hilariously bad. At least they are original - it's just that they are original because no one would choose something so ridiculous.
