Highlight of the day: Christian Gomez winding up and kicking Mastroeni in the nuts. Referee misses it, as well as missing Fred going elevated studs up into Corey Gibbs knee.
Cooper got one of these in the gut in the Nats game, and converted on the PK. So Panama coach and players attack the ref.
Actually I take it back, the best part of the weekend was that annoying TFC troll "Blogger" getting to watch Toronto plummet in the standings (And we helped!) Drawing at home against a team missing Davis, Ching, Holden, Mulrooney, Barret, Robinson and Hainault: not good. They've got a whopping 4 home games left while Colorado has 7 and a game in hand. See you next year.
Villarreal defeated local team Navata in Pre-Season Game Villarreal 27 - Navata 0 Perhaps we should bring Navata in for a friendly to get our confidence up?
Im kind of amazed that this new england team isnt down at the foot of the table with the dead bulls and quakes. What a truly awful group they have out their against Chivas USA. Credit to Nicol
Of course, I forgot about how good Shalrie is. Would be nice to have an influential central midfielder.
It's funny, I was going to post this. He came on at half time, completely dominated the next 20 minutes, and Chivas was never in the game after that. He was playing sort of a weird target-forward/AM position, but every ball that went through him turned into a scoring chance. What a difference he would make for our team.
He was a pylon who stood around in the center circle. We have to remember how slow developing some d-mids and why we should invest plenting of playing time into BMac now when we're not making the playoffs anyway so he can improve his inconsistent passing.
True, dat. And the kid needs that time to develop. As I remember Shalrie five years ago, he was a red card waiting to explode and to do so frequently. I seem to remember Troy and him getting into a tussle at one time.
