Not sure who here is arguing that we wouldn't be better if we bought half of the most expensive attackers in the world. However, the argument you made that poor expected goal stats and finishing is specifically because of "cheap players" is absurd when the 4 players most responsible are exactly the 4 with the highest market values on the roster.
Meanwhile in Canada. https://torontosun.com/opinion/colu...lent-on-viral-teacher-citing-personnel-matter This is a teacher the school board refuses to do anything about: And the national media in Canada is defending it lol: https://www.theglobeandmail.com/opi...d-educators-receive-a-lesson-in-body-shaming/ Anyone who criticizes is body shaming. You can't make this up.
You should try actually reading the 2nd article, it says basically the opposite of what you think lol
Did they brainwash you that much? You need to read it. The school district is defending the teacher's "gender rights." And the "journalist" concludes that we should treat this as "a reasonable form of self-expression" that benefits little girls at school by making a "mockery" of those who suggest their developing bodies "are a distraction." Her concluding argument is literally that if you disagree with how this "teacher" looks, then you're body shaming 12 year old girls. This teacher should be fired for sexually inappropriate behavior. If I had a kid in this school district, I'd pull them out of the school and do everything in my power to get those idiots on the school board out.
Seriously though, why wouldn't you just stop posting pics of Nainggolan's mom? We know she/he/it has gigantic melons!
I have been brainwashed by reading comprehension, yes. Even the parts you directly quote say the exact opposite of what you think it does. "there’s something about treating her decision to wear enormous fake breasts to class as a reasonable form of self-expression that makes a mockery of countless young girls who’ve been told at school that their bodies – developing bodies they themselves are still getting used to – are a distraction" Try reading this excerpt from the conclusion (that you yourself reference) slowly and then get back to me lol
Haakon is right on his point about the 2nd link. A brief look at her profile picture can tell you that's the face of a life long bitter feminist so right away I assumed she would come at it from a certain angle. She is against the weirdo as "it" is making a mockery of actual issues young girls have to go through as their bodies change. That's basically her conclusion if you read to the end of the article. But that aside surely now haakon you can agree that freak should not be allowed to be teaching young kids? If you have a young child at that school, would you want that fruit loop gaining some preversion while brushing against your child? I would like to think you wouldn't be ok with that. Looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it is a ? Looks very likely to be a predator abusing a failing system.
@Haakon24, @La Magica You are mistaken. They promoted the article on Twitter as "a lesson in body shaming." Ontario students and educators receive a lesson in body shaming https://t.co/stU3njSk3n— The Globe and Mail (@globeandmail) September 20, 2022 I'll read it back slowly: "there’s something about treating her decision to wear enormous fake breasts to class as a reasonable form of self-expression" "[this reasonable form of self-expression] makes a mockery of countless young girls who’ve been told at school that their bodies are a distraction." She had to twist her argument into a pretzel because it is so obvious that this pervert has taken his sexual fetish to the classroom. It has nothing to do with body shaming. This is how bad the standard of journalism has become. One of Canada's biggest newspapers put out an opinion piece, not only defending this pervert, but arguing that he's protecting little girls because he making a stand against body shaming. This sicko has no business being a teacher. If anything, he is a danger to little girls and boys.
I think they should certainly be asked to stop, and if they refuse firing them is a reasonable response. I think assuming they are a predator is a step too far, looks like a classical case of an attention seeker pushing the boundaries of what you can get away with to me but who knows. Kinda reminds me of an exaggerated case of the kind of Twitter nut who would demand people refer to them as wolf or princess or something dumb as their pronoun.
You are still wrong. The author is saying that “treating it (it being wearing exaggerated prosthetics) as a genuine form of self expression” is making a mockery of girls real struggles, therefore the only right conclusion is that the author does NOT think that it is a genuine form of self expression at all. The article is actually quite nuanced in that it presents both sides of the argument, but the authors conclusion is one that tends to agree with your own standpoint (but without going as far in the criticism as you would) while rejecting what would at first glance seem like the “progressive view”. The title is clickbaity to get rage views from conservatives who will end up shadow boxing against what they think the progressive argument is (as you are clearly doing), but doesn’t actually contradict the authors conclusion. The “lesson about body shaming” in this case is what does or doesn’t fall under the definition of body shaming, with the author arguing that criticizing the teacher is in fact not body shaming.
I think given the way society has headed in the past 5 or so years, assuming them to be a predator for these types is a good default position to start from. Yes, they should be fired. The slippery slope of tolerance isnt going to help things get better. But anyway, this is a football forum.
lol dude I argee with your overall take regards it being a weirdo but the 2nd link isnt saying what you think it is. Read the actual article from start to finish. Yes she is a mainstream journalist so she chooses her words carefully, more so than what should be for this particular story imo but her concluding take is this is wrong. You should have just linked a better article "But then you return to planet Earth and see the images of a teacher with what are rather obviously pornographic prosthetic breasts. Breasts that would, no matter a teacher’s assigned sex at birth, make the news. This is not like when (as happened in my own school days) an oblivious teacher showed up for class with a shirt with buttons misaligned. Gender identity is not a choice. However, showing up to teach in cartoonish fake breasts is one. It’s a choice to wear what is effectively a fetish outfit while teaching, in a way that is visible to all. Whether done as a stunt or a sincere expression of sexuality, if anything qualifies as inappropriate, that would be it."
You're getting confused because the opaque way the author makes the case. The author doesn't say the way the teacher looks makes a mockery of young girls. Rather the author is arguing the teacher is making a statement that mocks how school officials tell little girls they can't dress provocatively. The teacher continues to dress like this and keeps his/her job because these are her gender rights as a woman. This is why the school board is paralyzed and hasn't fired this lunatic because this transgender woman has a right to dress like a cartoon prostitute (or any other way for that matter so long as it doesn't break laws). The school board can't tell a woman how to dress. In other words, slut shaming, body shaming. Students come before the teachers and any good school board would draw that line. But people go along with this insanity. Who would do such a thing? The brainwashed. Any thinking person knows this teacher needs to be fired. And a national paper should be scolding any school board that fails to protect its students from clearly mentally ill teachers.
It would be 7-0 if Mourinho had those players If +3xg isn't enough to beat those teams then the players are at fault. Mourinho should resign and let roma to rot while he go to oil club to be able to spend freely like that bald pep
Antionio Cassano still likes to rattle cages. The guy isn't as stupid as you would think though becuase along with Vieri, Adani and Ventola on their BoboTV just generated 4 million Euro in the month of September. That is pretty good for a player who retired 6 years ago.
Insigne leaving was a massive blessing. That Kvara-whatever guy has been insane. They also somehow did a great job replacing Koulibaly. Still think Milan will win it in the end though.
